Introduction
The Nokia Bluetooth Headset BH-600allows you to make and receive callswhile on the move. You can use theheadset with compatible phones that
support Bluetooth wirelesstechnology.
Read this user guide carefully beforeusing the headset. Also read the userguide for your phone, which provides
important safety and maintenanceinformation. Keep the headset out ofreach of small children.
Bluetooth wireless technology
Bluetooth wireless technology allowsyou to connect compatible devices
without cables. A Bluetoothconnection does not require that thephone and the headset be in line ofsight, but both devices should be
within 10 meters (30 feet) of eachother. Connections may be subject tointerference from obstructions, suchas walls, or other electronic devices.
The headset complies with the
Bluetooth Specification 2.0 thatsupports the Headset Profile 1.1 andHandsfree Profile 1.5. Check with themanufacturers of other devices todetermine their compatibility with
this device.

Get started
The headset contains the followingparts shown on the title page:multifunction key (1), green indicatorlight (2), charging socket (3), volumekeys (4), earloop (5), and microphone(6).
Before using the headset, you mustcharge the battery and pair acompatible phone with the headset.
Note: Parts of the headset aremagnetic. Metallic materialsmay be attracted to the
headset. Do not place credit cards orother magnetic storage media near theheadset, because information stored onthem may be erased.
Chargers
Check the model number of any chargerbefore using it with this device. Theheadset is intended for use with theAC-3, AC-4, and DC-4 chargers.
Warning: Use only chargersapproved by Nokia for usewith this particular
enhancement. The use of any other typesmay invalidate any approval or warrantyand may be dangerous.
For availability of approvedenhancements, please check with yourdealer. When you disconnect the powercord of any enhancement, grasp and pullthe plug, not the cord.

3. Activate the Bluetooth feature onthe phone, and set the phone to
search for Bluetooth devices.
4. Select the headset from the list offound devices.
5. Enter the passcode 0000 to pair
and connect the headset to yourphone. In some phones you mayneed to make the connection
separately after pairing. You onlyneed to pair the headset with your
phone once.
If the pairing is successful, theindicator light starts to flash slowly,and the headset appears in the phonemenu where you can view thecurrently paired Bluetooth devices.
The headset is now ready for use.
Basic use
Wear the headset
Slide the earloop behind your ear (8),and push or pull the earloop to set itslength. Point the headset toward yourmouth. To use the headset on the leftear, gently flip (9) and rotate theearloop (10).
Call handling
To make a call, use your phone in thenormal way when the headset isconnected to your phone.
If your phone supports last numberredialing with this device, press themultifunction key when no call is inprogress.
If your phone supports voice dialingwith this device, briefly press the

multifunction key when no call inprogress, and proceed as described in
the user guide of your phone.
To answer or end a call, briefly pressthe multifunction key. If you do notwant to answer the call, press themultifunction key.
To answer another call during a call(and put the active call on hold) orswitch between the two calls, pressthe multifunction key.
Adjust the earphone volume
Press the plus key (+ ) to increase orthe minus key (-) to decrease thevolume.
Mute the microphone
Press both volume keys at the sametime during a call. When muted, theheadset beeps at regular intervals.
To unmute the microphone, press bothvolume keys at the same time, or end
the call.
Battery information
Your device is powered by a rechargeablebattery. The battery can be charged anddischarged hundreds of times, but it willeventually wear out. Recharge yourbattery only with Nokia approvedchargers designated for this device.
Unplug the charger from the electricalplug and the device when not in use. Donot leave a fully charged battery
connected to a charger, sinceovercharging may shorten its lifetime. Ifleft unused, a fully charged battery willlose its charge over time.
Never use any charger that is damaged.
Leaving the device in hot or cold places,
such as in a closed car in summer orwinter conditions, will reduce thecapacity and lifetime of the battery.

Always try to keep the battery between15C and 25C (59F and 77F). A device
with a hot or cold battery may not worktemporarily, even when the battery isfully charged. Battery performance isparticularly limited in temperatures wellbelow freezing.
Do not dispose of batteries in a fire asthey may explode. Batteries may also
explode if damaged. Dispose of batteriesaccording to local regulations. Pleaserecycle when possible. Do not dispose ashousehold waste.
Care and maintenance
Your device is a product of superiordesign and craftsmanship and should be
treated with care. The suggestions belowwill help you protect your warrantycoverage.
Keep all accessories andenhancements out of the reach ofsmall children.
Keep the device dry. Precipitation,humidity, and all types of liquids ormoisture can contain minerals thatwill corrode electronic circuits. If yourdevice does get wet, allow it to dry
completely.
Do not use or store the device industy, dirty areas. Its moving parts
and electronic components can bedamaged.
Do not store the device in hot areas.High temperatures can shorten thelife of electronic devices, damagebatteries, and warp or melt certainplastics.
Do not store the device in cold areas.When the device returns to its normaltemperature, moisture can forminside the device and damage
electronic circuit boards.
Do not attempt to open the device.

Do not drop, knock, or shake thedevice. Rough handling can break
internal circuit boards and finemechanics.
Do not use harsh chemicals, cleaningsolvents, or strong detergents toclean the device.
Do not paint the device. Paint canclog the moving parts and preventproper operation.
All of the above suggestions applyequally to your device, battery, charger,
or any enhancement. If any device is notworking properly, take it to the nearestauthorized service facility for service.
