8. EFFECTS BY 2031 WITHOUT THE SCHEME
Design Year (2031) Do Minimum Traffic Noise Impacts
1 . This assessment compares the Do Minimum scenario in the opening
year with the Do Minimum scenario in the design year, allowing the
likely changes in noise over the design period without the Scheme to
be compared with the Scheme effects. This assessment identifies the
number of NSRs which would be affected by long term changes in
noise due to growth in traffic in the absence of the Scheme.
2. The results of this assessment classify each Noise Sensitive Receptor
(NSR) according to the magnitude of the long term noise impact at its
façade, and the results are shown in Appendix 9A. There would be no
perceptible changes in noise expected.
