A COMPARATIVE STUDY BETWEEN TWO LOCAL GROUNDWATER SOURE AS AN
ADEQUATE DRINKING WATER SOURCE FOR NAWASA
Noemi Angel CabardoJuliu Curr Maghinay
Rationale
An alternative groundwater source is important for NAWASA to have. Water sources are not permanent and water contamination is always a problem to all kinds of water sources. It is also important that people will know if their source for drinking water is an uncontaminated kind of groundwater and is suitable for drinking. This study is to determine a new alternate source for NAWASA between Kalubihon and Agus springs.
Statement of the Problem
Main Problem: Which of the two water sources is more an adequate water source for NAWASA?
Sub-problems:
1. Is there a significant difference in the water samples in terms of its:
Turbidity ORP pH level water pressure2 . Do the water sources contain any hazardous
mineral(s)?
Methodology Collection of Materials Preparation of Materials Collection of Water Samples Construction of Secchi Disk Preparation and Calibration of the pH meter Preparation and Calibration of the ORP meter Turbidity Testing Procedures: Secchi Disk Calculation of Water Pressure Measuring ph of a liquid using a pH meter and probe Measuring ORP of a liquid using a ORP
