So, what's Nodebot Day?Each year our community in Houston and around the world gather on a single day to learn and make things together. We call this NodeBots Day!
NodeBots Day Houston is organized by community leaders, with the mission to promote technology locally, here in Houston. We want everyone to leave with the satisfaction of making something awesome! Each event has experts on hand to help you build your project and start you on the path to building awesome devices. Overall, we're going to get together, collaborate and hack. The focus of NodeBots Day is on sharing and enjoying each other's company and JavaScript-lots of JavaScript.

What is a NodeBot? Nodebots are robotics that are made accessible to JavaScript developers.
Where is the event being held? The University of Houston at 4742 Calhoun Rd. Houston, TX 77204.
What will I learn? You'll learn how to control hardware using Node.js and the Johnny-�ve library.
Is this a Hackathon? No. We don’t have prizes. There are no stakes.
Do I have to have any experience with Robots or Programming? No, you don’t. You do need to bring a laptop com-puter with NodeJS installed. v0.10.x
Can I bring my kids? Yes, kids are welcome. Please purchase a lunch ticket for kids.
What is International NodeBot Day? A set of global events across the world to create and learn robotics with JavaScript.

Participants will build robots powered by Arduino & JavaScript. At the end of the day we will have a Battle Bots style competition amongst all of the participants.
