Noah’s Ark God loved Noah. He told Noah that a great flood would cover the earth.

God had Noah build an ark—a big boat—for his family. On the ark, he also was to put two of every animal. Noah did as God asked. When the rains came and flooded all the land, every living

thing drowned. Finally, the rains stopped. Noah, his family, and all the living creatures came out of the ark. When Noah thanked God for saving

them, God was very pleased.

Daniel and the LionsDaniel disobeyed a law in the land

where God’s people were held. The law said he had to pray to the king there and not to God. Even though Daniel worked for the king, he was punished when he was seen praying to God.

Daniel was thrown into a place filled with mean and hungry lions. The next morning, the kindly king went to see

what happened to Daniel. He was surprised to see that he was not

harmed. Daniel’s God watched over him.
