    HOW-TO:NO-SEW

    PILLOWSWHAT YOU NEED

    Fabric

    Pillow insert

    Sharp scissors

    1 roll of 1-inch Stitch

    Witchery regular tape

    Damp dishtowel or

    washcloth

    Iron

    38-inch grommet kit

    STEP 1

    Cut two fabric squares

    3 inches larger than

    your pillow insert. For

    2

    6 7

    example, if your insert

    is 16 inches square,

    you want two 19-inch

    squares of fabric.

    STEP 2

    Lay one of your fabric

    squares on a flat

    surface, pattern side

    facing up. Cut four

    Stitch Witchery strips

    to match the length of

    the four sides of your

    fabric square.

    STEP 3

    Line up three of your

    Stitch Witchery strips

    along three of the outer

    edges of your fabric

    square. Lay your second

    fabric square on top,

    pattern side facing

down, making sure allyour edges are even.

    STEP 4

    Place your damp

    dishtowel or washcloth

    on a single section of

    the seam. Using the

cloth as a guard, set the

    iron to medium heat,

    and press it down

    dont slide itfor ten

    seconds. Repeat this

    process, completely

    tracing the border of

    the three sides that

    already have Stitch

    Witchery in place.

    STEP 5

    Once the Stitch

    Witchery is set and

    your seams are

    stuck together, turn

    your almost finished

    pillowcase inside out.

    The seams should be

    on the inside now.

    Youre ready to insert

    your pillow.

    STEP 6

    To close up the last

    side, fold in 1-inch

    seams along the outer

    edge of both pieces of

    fabricso you end up

    with what looks like a

set of lips. Line up your

    last Stitch Witchery

    strip between the two

    folded-down seams,

    right along the edge;

    then iron it closed.

    STEP 7

    You can stop here. But

if you want a little extra

    flairor plan on having

    some heavy-duty

    pillow fightsyou can

    insert grommets along

    the edges, which look

    cool and help keep the

    pillow together. Follow

    the directions on your

    grommet kit (they all

    work a little differently).
