shoppe combines their shared passion for delicious ice cream,
Marc's extensive experience in the
restaurant industry and Sandy's dream of opening an ice cream
shop.The shoppe serves premium, all-natural ice cream in creative
flavors. A neighborhood favorite, it’s known for its rotating
cast of flavors, mini cones, color-changing spoons and family
events including magic shows, movie nights, and music classes. The
shoppe’s charming boutique area designed by Sandy, who has a
background in the children’s clothing industry.
A month after opening, a customer's post about the shoppe in a
Facebook food allergy group went viral becauseA La Mode Shoppe is
the only nut-, egg- and sesame-free ice cream shop in the country.
This publicity and subsequent press
has driven guest traffic and made A La Mode Shoppe a top
destination in the food allergy community.Within a year of opening
the shoppe, A La Mode branched into manufacturing. The
5,000-square-foot facility is the only nut-free
ice cream manufacturing facility in the country. A La Mode ice
cream is available in pints, cups and bars in stores across the
nation and via shipping on the A La Mode website.
In 2020, the A La Mode family grew to include a franchising
program. Franchise owners can enjoy operating a fun, fulfilling and
profitable scoop shoppe. As A La Mode Shoppe opens in new
locations, even more people can get a taste of the best ice cream

1. Access to prime location Your proposed location must meet
with our guidelines so as to ensure an adequate flow of
traffic.
2. Common values Your commitment to p.roviding superior customer
service and adhering to our operational and managerial guidelines,
must be consistent with ours. The ability to “sweat the details” is
essential.
3. Capital Franchisees will need the necessary capital to
establish their shop. Your credit history will also be
considered.
4. Business experience You should have at least 3 years of
business management experience, preferably in the food &
beverage industry, as well as an understanding of the legal
requirements and principles of operating a business.

5,000 sq. ft. clean,
modern manufacturing facility is
located in the Hunts Point section of The Bronx. It is highly
automated to ensure superior quality
control and meticulously safeguarded to be free of nuts,sesame
seeds and eggs.
An on-site R&D test kitchen allows us to add new flavors
andseasonal specialty flavors. During the school year (when
social
distancing is not in effect) many students from nearby schools
tour our facility to learn more about how ice cream is made.
Finally, the a la mode ice cream facility is HACCP certified.
Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point is a food safety risk
management system. It
anticipates and prevents food safety hazards before a product is
made.HACCP certification is recommended by the U.S. Food and Drug
Administration.

Phase 1 - We will provide you with 7 to 10 days of extensive
training at headquarters or another location, about 6 to 9 weeks
before your targeted business opening. The training covers
administrative, operational, and sales/marketing procedures,
practical tips, and hands-on job training. This training will be
provided for the franchisee and one other designated attendee.
Phase 2 - In this on-site phase of our training program,
typically beginning at (or shortly before) the opening of your
store, our trainers will help get you and your staff up to speed.
This is typically completed within 10 to 14 days.
