DESCRIPTION

No Eastie Casino, a group of concerned East Boston residents and allies opposed to casino development in greater Boston, filed this request to the Inspector General and Secretary of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts on May 15, 2014. We are requesting a full independent review of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission's conduct in the period leading up to its denial of "host community" status leading up to its May 8, 2014 decision to deny this status to the city of Boston in connection with a proposed massive resort casino at Suffolk Downs. We allege collusion between the city and applicant Mohegan Sun, as well as possible fraud in connection with the Gaming Commission's decision to withhold a critical document from the city of Boston and the voters of Revere.
