Sub: Funds Allotted for Summer Camp.

In continuation to circular no. DE. 23 (08)/Sch.Br./2016jVol-lj633 dated 19-04-2016,the Heads of Govt. Schools were given guidelines for organizing Summer Camp forthe Students of ClassVI in Govt. School from n" May to 31" May, 2016.

• Teaching Learning Material for Week 1 is enclosed. It has activities for childrento be done in groups and individually between May 12- 17, 2016. The HoS arerequired to get it downloaded and get the photocopies at the rate of 1 set for5 children. Each set has 30 pages. Instruction Manual for conducting theactivities is also uploaded. This is for reference only and need not bedownloaded. A copy of this would be shared with the Guest Teachers duringTraining.

• The Teaching learning material for Week 2 and 3 shall be uploaded on May 14,2016. The HaS are required to download those materials and get thephotocopies as per the specifications in the instruction sheets and attendanceof children.

• May 21, 28 and May 31,2016 are kept aside as open days for any co-curricularand community engagement activities in the summer camp schools. Last dayof the camp i.e. May 31,2016 would be organized to celebrate the conclusionof the camp.

o The funds have been aliocated on the following heads by SCERT for theparticipating schools:

}> Contingency - Rs. 500/- per schools for the entire camp.}> TLM - Rs. 20/- per participant for the entire camp.}> Stationary - Rs. 20/- per participant for the entire camp.}> Material & Miscellaneous - Rs. 2000 per school for the entire camp.}> Group '0' - Rs. 150 per day for one person only but if the no. of participants is

more than 100, schools may deploy two group '0' persons.~ The payment will be made to the students volunteers only @ Rs. 500 per week

per person.}> Since the programme is only for 3 hours so light refreshment @ Rs. 20 per day

per person (Teachers/Volunteers/Students) may be given. It must be ensuredthat the refreshment should contain sealed items/fruits which are not likely tobe affected by the heat.

• The format for detailed information regarding Summer Camp which· wasenclosed in the above mentioned circular is to be filled by the HOS and will besubmitted to Zonal DDE along with the bills after the completion of the camp.Further these will be sent to SCERT through District DDE in a compiled marinerfor making the payment

• The number of Guest Teachers and Student volunteers to be deputed for thispurpose is as per above mentioned circular.

• For the Guest Teachers the payment will be made by the Planning Branch.

This issues with the prior approval of the Competent Authority.
