Hello, The annual NMSU Horse Sale will be held on May 30, 2020 online through Integrity Livestock. Sale will start at 9:00 AM and go through 5:00 PM Mountain Standard Time. Horses can be viewed at the NMSU Horse Farm by appointment up until sale day. Videos and pictures will be posted on the NMSU Animal and Range Sciences website, and can be seen on the NMSU Horse Farm Facebook page. We have a really nice set of horses offered this year, and hope you will take a look and consider us for your next purchase. The NMSU Horse Program has a history of producing exceptional horses that have succeeded in many different arenas. We have raised NCHA, NRHA, NRCHA money earners, AQHA point earners and World Champions in AQHA, PHBA, NRCHA, ASHA, and SHOT, as well as money earners in 4H rodeo, team ropings, and even 4H Futurity Champions. We strive to raise a versatile horse that can go any direction you choose. We are extremely fortunate to have some exceptional stallions that we stand that have bloodlines that are as good as you will find anywhere. All three of our Stock Horse stallions are cow or reining bred, and are athletes in their own right. Our broodmares range from race bred to cowhorse breeding, or a combination there of. This years offering consists of NMSU raised horses, and donated stock. I am excited about this group of quality horses. It doesn’t matter if you are looking for a show prospect, ranch horse, roping horse, barrel horse, or are looking to get into the breeding business, we have something for you. There is lots of potential here to get an athletic horse with outstanding bloodlines at a very good price. This sale not only serves as a major source of revenue for our teaching efforts and extracurricular student activities, but it is an excellent “hands on” teaching tool for our students. The students have put forth a very high quality effort this year in terms of sale catalog preparation and advertising. More information about the horses, pictures, and examples of the students’ work will be posted to our departmental website. In closing, I look forward to the chance to visit with buyers, alumni, and friends on Saturday, May 30, 2020. Please make plans to logon to the sale to view what the NMSU Horse Program has to offer and to show your support for what we do. If you need more information about the sale offering, please contact me at (575)-646-1345 at my office, (575)202-3646 on my cell, or by email at [email protected]. Sincerely,
