IT’S ALL IN THE HALLWhere you live is more than just a place to sleep. At NMC we’ve created living and learning communities–places to help you get work done when you need to and relax with new friends. By helping you create a productive work-life balance, we’re setting you up for success in and out of the classroom. In our residence halls you’ll meet and live with friends from around the area and around the world. Plus, living on campus is more than convenient–instead of driving across town, your morning commute will be a walk across campus to your first class of the day. What’s not to love?!

Have a family? We have you covered with apartments for students with families. Our campus apartments provide a quiet place to live and study while you attend NMC.

DINING? DELISH.From local food Tuesdays to themed dinner nights, our on-campus dining is anything but ordinary. Grab a tasty breakfast and a cup of Starbucks coffee before your morning class in the dining hall, or stop by one of four Café locations between classes for a quick sandwich, soup, wrap, or salad. Our dining services keep it fresh with changing menus highlighting special cuisines and countries around the world.

PROGRAMSAt NMC we have more than 60 programs of study from accounting to welding. Our programs are designed to make sure you’re engaged, challenged, prepared, and headed towards your degree and a job that fits you. And our faculty? Outstanding. Their number-one goal is to help you succeed.

AP AND TRANSFER CREDITWe like to give credit where credit is due. If you have credits from another college or university, AP, or ACT scores, have them sent to NMC so we can start

awarding you college credit before you even set foot on campus.

HONORSKick your education up a notch by participating in the NMC Honors program. This rigorous program will challenge you academically, is chock-full of bonuses and, you get to wear a fancy stole at graduation. YOUR WORLD REDEFINEDWe live and work in a globally connected world, and NMC wants to be sure our students are fully prepared for success in a global economy and society. To that end, we’re bringing the world to you. With study abroad and the international student program, you’ll have the opportunity to engage in learning that knows no borders.

STUDY ABROADWith recent trips to Costa Rica, Russia, South Africa, the United Kingdom, and Brazil, we encourage our students to get out and experience the world. We’re adding new study abroad locations each year, with scholarships to help you get your travel on. Study abroad experiences

at NMC are offered to all students– regardless of program or major. Dust off your passports and see the world.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTSWe pride ourselves on welcoming students from around the world. Each year our local students sit side-by-side with students from more than 15 different countries, providing perfect opportunities for intercultural learning and creation of lifelong friendships. START HERE, STAY HERE!If you want a four-year degree and want to stick close to Traverse City, check out our University Center. With seven university partners, we’ve worked to bring the best and brightest from around the state to run bachelor’s, master’s, and even doctoral degree programs right here in Traverse City. You can enjoy a view of the bay all the way through your program! Another great thing about the University Center is that classes are offered at times that make sense for working students. Start at NMC, and finish in TC. Lots of people do, and the UC has already awarded more than 4,000 degrees.
