From the
Clemson Home will soon begin accepting applications from current Honors students for a limited number of rooms in the new Honors residence hall, located at Core Campus. To learn more, please join us for an information session next week.
The new residence hall will feature single and double suites, study lounges with beautiful views over the stadium and the mountains, updated kitchens, and other amenities. You'll have easy access to the new Honors Center and the Honors College offices, as well as to the newest campus dining hall, Star-bucks, and other dining options.
We expect that single suites will be in especially high demand, so you'll want to act fast once the application process is open. The info sessions will cover all the advantages of the new building, and also the process for reserving your room or suite!
The information sessions will be held a week from Thursday (November 19). The first, at 6:00pm in the Clemson House, is open to all students. The second, at 7:30pm in the Holmes basement, is aimed specifically at students currently living in RISE. For more information, see the announcement in this newsletter, and also watch for emails as well as announce-ments via our Facebook page and Twitter feed.
We look forward to seeing you next week!

FIND OUT MORE ABOUT DIXON GLOBAL POLICY SCHOLARS
We're excited to announce the sixth year of the Dixon Global Policy Schol-
ars (GPS). Dixon GPS is designed to help top Honors freshmen and soph-omores deepen their understanding of global policy, economics, politics,
culture, science, technology and the arts, and to evaluate and develop
their opportunities for success in prestigious scholarship competitions,
such as the Rhodes, Marshall, and Truman Scholarships, and in applica-
tions for premier graduate and professional schools.
The Dixon GPS students will travel to France and Germany in May 2016
for a study program (all expenses paid except for 1 Clemson credit hour
and incidental expenses), and will take specialized courses in Fall 2016
and Spring 2017 dealing with politics, economics, philosophy, and public policy. Other features of the program include topical discussion groups
and individualized mentoring.
This program is limited to 12 students. Freshmen and sophomores from
all majors are encouraged to apply. There will be an information ses-
sion about Dixon GPS next Tuesday, November 17th at 12:30pm in
the Holmes Hall Multipurpose Room. For more information about Dix-
on GPS, go to http://www.clemson.edu/cuhonors/current-students/out-of-
class/dixonGPS/index.html
