Opening types NK Windows specializes in the European-style tilt & turn
inwards opening windows and doors. Tilt & turn windows
provide superior security and sealing, secure street-level
ventilation, easy high access cleaning and a very wide
opening for emergency egress.
NK Windows also offers non-tilting outwards opening
windows – both top-hung and side-hung plus many other
door options.
Design uPVC frames are very well suited to all home designs and
can be installed regardless of construction and cladding
type. A chunkier profile is preferred by most when looking to
replace wooden frames as it maintains the look and style of
the house. At the same time, most homeowners will take the
opportunity to modernize their home by simplifying openings
(most older houses have way too many openings) and
removing colonial bars etc.
Windows and doors can easily be manufactured to replicate
designs from previous building eras including: cottage, villa,
bungalow, state house, art deco, 1970s, 1980s and beyond.
The line drawings on the following pages are intend ed
to provide awareness and inspiration and are by no
means exhaustive. They are divided into the followi ng
