INDIAN ORIGIN (PIO) AND FOREIGN NATIONALS (FN)

CIWGC-SEA: The candidates whose parent are working at Gulf countries or

South East Asia are only eligible under this category.

PIO: The Persons who are citizens of other countries (except Pakistan and

Bangladesh) who at any time held an Indian Passport, or who or either of his

parents or any of his grand parents was a citizen of India by virtue of the

provisions of the Constitution of India or Sec 2 (b) of Citizenship Act, 1955 ( Act

No. 57 of 1955) are only eligible under this category.

FN: The citizens of all countries other than India, who are not of Indian origin as

defined under PIO are eligible under this category.

Upto fifteen percent of intake is allocated for admission to NRI/NRI sponsored candidates. In addition to this, 10 percent seats are

also allocated to Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)/Foreign Students and 5 percent for the Children of Indian workers of Gulf

countries and South East Asia, i.e. 15% of total seats is available for admission under the Supernumerary category.

Candidate should have passed HSC (10+2) with minimum 50% marks.

Academic Eligibility for Admissions:• A candidate should have passed Higher Secondary/Intermediate Examinations (10+2) or its

equivalent examinations with not less than 50% aggregate marks.

minimum marks as prescribed by Government of Gujarat.

1. Candidate must have passed HSC (10+2) Examination with Physics, Chemistry and

Mathematics with the percentage of marks as to be decided by the Government of

Gujarat.

2. Entrance test not required.

Academic Eligibility for LLM Admissions:• A candidate should have successfully passed three years LL.B after graduation or Five years

Integrated Law Degree Programme as recognized by the Bar Council of India.

• Candidate should not have less than 50% marks in aggregate.

Academic Eligibility for B.Pharm Admissions: Candidate shall have passed the qualifying examination with minimum eligibility criteria of

percentage of marks in the subjects as prescribed by Govt. of Gujarat from time to time.

Generally these subjects are Physics and Chemistry and Biology or Mathematics.

Academic Eligibility for M.Pharm Programmes Admissions:

• For admission to M.Pharm Programme, the candidates must have passed the qualifying

examination (B. Pharm) from a recognised university with minimum 55% of aggregate

marks* or equivalent Cumulative Grade Point Index (CGPI) or any other qualifying degree

examination considered as equivalent of B.Pharm degree by Nirma University, Ahmedabad

with minimum 55% marks* or equivalent CGPI. (*As per AICTE norms).

• Candidates who are appearing for the final semester of qualifying examination (B. Pharm)

can also apply. In such case, the candidate is required to submit the result as soon as the

same is available either by email or by fax (scanned image) before the date as mentioned on

the website.
