ROGER

TIMOTHY

That charges grandma’s wireless

Harley.

ROGERWhoa?

TIMOTHY

Dad has the coolest toys! (opening expander)

So, if we need your wireless hands-

free extender expanded? We just set

it for non-vertical/horizontal, and

Timothy places a three-inch used pencil in the molecular expander, setting its timer on “FAST”.

TIMOTHY (CONT’D)

Ta-da. You can even get certified!

A TWO FOOT LONG PENCIL

Timothy removes the now two foot long pencil from the expander, balancing it on his finger.

Timothy knocks over a pencil cup sending pencils rolling across his desk.

Roger places the remaining one-inch piece of breakfast bar in the molecular expander. His eyes questioning the timer.

Steve enters data in his computer, his screen reveals he’s chatting with NANCY DREW. “I’M ATTENDING” pop up windows fill the screen.

Roger is offering Timothy his used batteries. Timothy enters data.

TIMOTHY

We need more.

Roger offers Timothy half of a two foot long breakfast bar.

TIMOTHY (CONT’D)

That’s only fair.

The right lower corner of Timothy’s myPad screen flashes to show Mrs. Faeber’s Harley scooter.

EXT. DEEP SPACE - INTERGALACTIC FWY REST STOP - CONTINUOUS

MRS. FAEBER is chasing GURDEEP around her Harley Scooter.

Timothy’s myPad screen starts fading in and out. He’s posting a note to his student profile page: NEED BATTERIES!!!

Roger’s hand holds four used “AA” batteries and a square nine volt.

ROGER

This is all they had.

Timothy loads the “AA” batteries in his myPad.

NINE VOLT BATTERY

Timothy’s myPad lights up. He pushes the nine-volt battery back to Roger.

TIMOTHY

We can’t mess up! You know what to

do with this.

Timothy enters data in his computer, his screen revealing a live feed of Gurdeep and Mrs. Faeber.

EXT. DEEP SPACE - CONTINUOUS

Gurdeep and Mrs. Faeber are holding their thumbs out on the side of the Intergalactic Freeway.

SFX: WHOOSH WHOOSH WHOOSH WHOOSH

A VW Bug, a flying saucer, a 1960’s station wagon, and an eighteen-wheeler whoosh past Gurdeep and Mrs. Faeber.

Roger comes running past with his backpack, hops in the sidecar.

Alpha backs the space motorcycle into the Time Travel tube.

TIMOTHY

We had to run all calculations on

paper! We have to launch and get to

my dad!

PAUL

Your dad?

ROGER

And grandma?

Alpha and Roger trade salutes with each other and then Timothy.

PAUL

Just turn yourself in.

TIMOTHY

You have to reverse polarity!

SFX: WHOOSH ZOOM

Alpha, Roger, and the space motorcycle dematerialize.

The office doors slide open revealing two lab security robots escorting Alpha, Roger, and Hannah to Gurdeep’s desk. (NOTE: Hannah is holding a mop and bucket, wearing a nineteenth century housekeeper dress and bandana.)

Hannah notices the room is a mess and glares at Gurdeep.

TIMOTHY

We were doing homework, dad??

Roger smiles, Alpha bobs his eyebrows.

PAUL

Sir!!! Crucial to our defense, sir,

it was really hard homework!

ROGER
