JCA-NID

• During last TSAG meeting (Geneva, 2 ~ 9 July 2008)– TSAG endorsed the continuation of the JCA-NID until next

TSAG meeting (Geneva, 28 ~ 30 April 2009)– TSAG requested to review its ToR

• 8th JCA-NID meeting (Geneva, 26 January 2009)– The term “identification” was clearly defined and changed

into “tag-based identification” to avoid overlap with JCA-IdM– ToR was revised to include “Ubiquitous Sensor Network”– Approved “NID terms and definitions” as a third JCA-NID

deliverable (JCANID-D-003)

• New convener– Hyoung Jun KIM (ETRI, Korea)

– Future work plan• Testing architecture for NID and USN (from the next meeting)• Test specification for H.IRP• Test specification for X.oid-res

– Q.12/11 sent LS to Q.21/16, Q.22/16, Q.12/17, Q.3/13, Q.5/13, Q.25/16, Q.6/17, Q.10/17, Q.11/17, and JCA-NID to invite collaboration

• 2 Draft Recommendations are ongoing– H.IDscheme, “ID schemes for multimedia information access

triggered by tag-based identification”– H.IRP, “ID resolution protocols for multimedia information

access triggered by tag-based identification”

• Last meeting (27 January ~ 6 February)– Q.21 and Q.22/16 decided to wait for the result of Q.12/17 on

OID resolution system– Q.21 and Q.22/16 will analyze use case of existing ID schemes
