GBDear Rouncer customer,

Preparing meals in the kitchen can take unbelievable amounts of your time, making an exciting process tedious. Fruits and vegetables have to be processed in various forms of cutting into dices, slices, strips, sticks, wedges and many more before it is used. This normally requires a wide selection of equipment, from chopping boards to knives, bowls and other cutting tools.

We built the Rouncer to become your all-in-one kitchen tool that can be used to prepare vegetables, salads and fruits dishes amongst other things. It is also very compact and space-saving in the modular design that is stacked away easily.

The Rouncer is a patented 5 seconds Onion Dicer + Slicer with no peeling required, no more spending hours chopping onions, no more crying, no more onion wastage, and no more cuts on fingers from sharp knives!

With 2 stacked blade choices in a collection container, meet the world's first onion dicer/slicer to chop up onions without even having to peel them first, unlike other products in the market. Just cut into half and go!

The Rouncer can manipulate food in many ways and contains the following types of blades: The spiral Julienne strips/spaghetti cutter, apple corer, peeler, grater, mandoline slicer, herb chopper, square cutter, quarter pie-shaped cutter, rectangular cutter and wavy slicer. A total of 14 amazing blades for a multitude of functions!

Your kit also includes a clearing tool for cleaning round blades of any onions stuck between blades, for clearing all vegetable and fruit cuttings on the flat blade instantly, and also acts as a hand guard for protection against the disc blades when using the device for its mandoline and grating functionality.

How to Use:

Take a look at our videos online for an easy guide on what our patented Rouncer will do for you!

Set the base unit on a clean kitchen surface, lift up the handle and select the blade cutting insert you want to use from either the large storage container or the two rounded onion blades normally stored in the main device.

Insert the selected cutting blade insert into its slot in the hand press cover from underneath whilst aligning the slot grooves. Press down until the blade insert is in place.

TIP: With each blade, first wet the blades before use as this will helps make cutting easier with less force required. Juices from the food when using normally provide the moisture required.

Attach the small collection container to the top of the device right on top of the blade insert slot for collecting cut food.

The Rouncer device is used in two ways depending on the blades you use.o The Rounded or Flat inserts such as the onion dicer/slicer, apple coring,

herb , quarter, rectangular, eighth and small/medium square cutting blades are used as shown in the diagram below with blades pointing downwards and the hand cover used to apply force from top to bottom.

For the Rounded Onion blades, you place the food you want to

cut and process inside the semi-circular groove of the base unit and press the hand cover down allowing the blades to go through downwards into the food and collect in the small storage compartment above.

For the Flat blades, insert the spiked clearing tool into the semi-circular groove of the base unit to fill the groove and act as a platform on top of which the food to be processed is placed. Press the hand cover down firmly to cut the food and allow it to clear and collect in the small collection container at the top of the blade slot.

TIP: Use your elbow to rest on the top of the hand cover whilst pressing down to apply suitable pressure from your body weight. This makes cutting food through the blades easy and seamless.

o The disc inserts such as the fine/coarse grating, mandoline slicing, wavy cutting or peeling blades, are placed in the same way, underneath the hand press cover in their slots aligned with the grooves until all the way in. You then rotate the hand cover and base unit on its hinge, with the hand press cover moving in the opposite direction to the base with the semi-circular groove.

- Turn device base upside down, rotate the hand press lid further and allow the underside of the small container to now rest on the semi-circular groove of the base unit now sticking upwards.

- Place the food on the top of the inclined surface, which is the underside of the hand press cover, and slide up and down to use the blade inserts.- When the food being processed gets close to the blade, you can use the clearing tool as a hand guard to grip the food and slide up and down. Be careful not to go too far and damage the plastic on the blades. Stop before going through with all the food.

TIPS: Foods that have skins, for example apples, apricots, peppers, tomatoes should be used with the skin left on.Cut food into smaller chunks where possible to make the cutting process easier, for example when cutting potatoes.

There are anti-slip studs on the underside of the storage container to ensure the Rouncer stays firm on your kitchen surface.The collection container sits in place holding all your food cuttings until you are ready to use them.

o The spiraliser is used in two settings mode to create staircase-like spiral-cut food or to create spaghetti/julienne strips of food.

- Select the setting you would like to use for the tool on the underside of the v shape groove. Push the second blade into the blade slot for spaghetti-like cutting or push it out for spiral cuttings.

- The Spiraliser is very simple to use. Simply insert the spiral tool on top of the empty small or large container, take the food you would like to spiral-cut and place it vertically in the middle of the tool’s V shaped groove.

- Then rotate the food whilst pushing down to allow it to cut spirally.

WARNING: Ensure that the food you use to cut is always smaller than the round slot where the blades are

placed. To ensure a good cutting process, it must be smaller than the diameter of the blade circle.

Ensure that any food used to cut is not too hard or contains woody stems. Hard foods blunt the blades and make the function of the device very difficult. You must cut off the hard parts before processing, for example the stem of the onion.

The 5 seconds no peeling required Onion Cutting process:

- Insert either the rounded dicing or slicing blade into the underside of the hand press cover in its provided slot.

- Place the small collection container in its position on the top of the hand press cover.

- Select an onion of any size or type and, with a sharp knife, simply chop of the two ends of an onion with shoot and stem, and cut the onion into half.

- Place one half of the onion in the semi-circular groove of the Rouncer base unit in whichever direction you like to cut it. Different directions give you different types of cuttings.

- Place the hand press down until the blade rests on top of the onion, place your elbow over the top of the hand press cover and in one bold swoop, press down until the hand press cover is parallel with the work surface and the blades go through the onion in the bottom base unit. This will force the onion cuttings out through the top into the small collection container.

- Lift the hand press cover and you will see that about 2mm of the onion skin will stay on top the blade which ensures that the scaly leaf does not get cut and go through the blades.

- Remove the scaly leaf with a fork or tweezers by peeling it off before moving on to inserting the next onion half to cut up.

WARNING: Do not use your hands as the blades are very sharp and you risk cutting yourself if you do so.

- Lift the top hand press cover when down and turn it 180 degrees to rest flat on the surface with the blade exposed upwards. Use the clearing tool to clear the blades of food cuttings which are stuck in between and allow it to fall into the collection container.

- To use any of the flat cutting blades, after you insert the blade, place the clearing tool with spikes facing up in the semi-circular groove and make the surface flat where food is then placed on top of the spikes. You can then use the device in the same way as described above.

The Clearing Tool:This tool has three functions

1) Help in the cleaning of the rounded onion dicing and slicing blades after use in order to clear out any onion leaves left behind or stuck in between the blades.

2) Acts as the base for clearing food when using the flat discs. When inserted in the Rouncer base device’s semi-circular groove and the handle is pressed down, the food cuttings clears the blades and collects in the small container thanks to the clearing tool and its spikes.

3) Can be used as a disc blade hand guard. When using the disc blades for its mandoline functions in slicing and wavy cutting, or even for grating, the hand guard allows you to latch on to the top of the vegetable or block of cheese as you get closer to the blades, in order to avoid any finger cuts.

WARNING:Do not slice all the way to the end of the food you are cutting when using this tool to avoid the plastic ends from getting caught in the blades and permanently damaging the clearing tool.

Cleaning:

Clean the Rouncer parts each time before and after use with washing-up liquid or detergent and rinse under the force of tap water, or wash in a dishwasher.

Simply remove each blade you have used and clean individually. For stubborn stains or difficult to remove food particles, soaking in warm water with soap for 10 minutes will help to make cleaning easier.

Do not use a wire brush or scourer on any of the Rouncer’s parts. Use the clearing tool to help in removing any leftover food materials between the blades before

cleaning the parts.

TIP: We recommend using a toothpick or tweezers to finally clear or push out any difficult food particles that may still be stuck in between any of the parts or blades even after washing it.

Storage:For safety, keep the blades stored away in the large storage container and the Rouncer device when not in use.

Handling:- Be careful when taking out the cutting inserts from the large storage container or inserting the

blades into the round cutting slot. They are extremely sharp and can cause serious damage if any part of your body comes into contact with it.

- When handling the blades, hold them only on the plastic surrounding rings and when inserting them into the round cutting slots, apply pressure only on the round rings and not on the metal blades themselves.

- To remove blades from the container, open the lid and pour them all onto a work surface to pick the ones you want to use. When putting then back for storage, carefully drop each one into the container one by one.
