Nick Altman Three traits that best represent me can be described using terminology from a field I am passionate about – the world of music and performing arts in relation to music. When performing on stage, it is important to have excellent projection and articulation of your voice so you can be clearly heard and understood by the audience. When participating in service activities, I always make sure I can have a voice and make the service not just a requirement, but a unique activity that I enjoy doing. I am a loud and very opinionated person, and this can be seen during any activity I take part in. I guess this could be considered the personal trait of expression or influence. Another part of the performing world in relation to music is communication. Going along with having my voice heard, I always make sure to communicate effectively with anyone related to the activity I am doing, just like how musicians communicate with their performers during an act. There must be a mutual understanding between all the members of a group in order for it to work smoothly – even with the countless important elements like tempo, rhythm, dynamics, and tonality. I think working with others and working in unfamiliar situations by doing service activities has helped me become a better communicator and someone who can easily communicate with others in the real world. The final trait that I believe best describes me is easygoing. When performing, it is essential to be relaxed and have fun doing what you love. I always apply the same passion to everything I do, because I trust that in the end it will be worth it, even if it doesn’t seem like it will be. In the real world, I would argue that this is the most important trait to have. When things get rough, you just need to enjoy the ride and make the most out of what you have in the moment.
