From the streets of Rome to the exotic mystery

of Marrakesh, from a tropical paradise to the

sights and sounds of London town. Whether

you have a theme in mind or you’re looking

for some inspiration, challenge our creative

team to transform your ideas into reality.

Create a unique atmosphere for your party, one that

your guests will never forget. Use lighting to set the

mood, take your tastebuds on a journey through

themed food stalls and enjoy entertainment with

an authentic twist.

Think mystery, think ideas. For venue transformation,

think the Natural History Museum.

What would make your guests’ hearts flutter?

The metamorphosis of our space and your ideas.

Whatever the occasion, these galleries are an

out-of-this-world space that will leave your guests

spinning. Relax in the fabulous surroundings, watch

your event unfold and enjoy the galaxy around you.

From the moment your guests arrive, lighting

transforms the Earth Galleries into an inviting and

intimate party setting. Striking beams of light climb

the walls, which are etched with constellations and

planets. And beneath the huge globe, your guests

can sit down to an extravagant meal.

Through the globe and beyond the stars, you’ll find

glittering precious stones and Earth’s tumultuous

past, all ready to play host to you and your guests.

We can create a night like no other in these versatile

and adaptable galleries.

Futuristic and diverse, this is an ideal party space

for a whole spectrum of events, cocktail receptions,

themed parties or dinners. The sky’s the limit –

we can give you the Earth, the moon and the stars.

Think galactic, think sparkle. For a fun, star-studded

event, think the Natural History Museum.

Not considered the Earth Galleries for an event?

What planet are you on?

Page 8: NHM Events brochure 2009

For truly jaw-dropping scale, the Central Hall

will leave you speechless. Flexible and dynamic,

it is one of the largest and most versatile party

spaces in London.

In a breathtaking setting beneath a huge Diplodocus

and soaring arches, host your extravagant launch

and dinner.

Elegant and formal, contemporary and fresh,

the Central Hall is a melting-pot of styles that

come together to create a unique event space

and experience.

Rock the night away, sit back and watch a west end

cabaret or dance until the small hours. However

you choose to celebrate your event, you can be

sure you will be dining in style.

Think fine dining, think exclusivity. For a large

funky event, think the Natural History Museum.

Is it possible to mix a black tie dinner with a T. rex tribute band?

Yes, but the lead singer might be upstaged.

When it comes to flamboyance and putting on a show, we can ruffle some feathers.

Make an entrance at our model venue.

We know it’s all about turning heads and what

better way to do it than to host a flamboyant

fashion show in a show-stopping venue.

Treat your guests to a glimpse of the latest

fashions against a backdrop of Victorian

Romanesque beauty. With a catwalk sweeping

down the grand staircase of the Central Hall

and encompassing the huge Diplodocus,

a fashion show at the Natural History Museum

offers a glamorous entertainment option

to grab every guest’s attention.

Page 13: NHM Events brochure 2009

We know how important it is to create a day

your conference delegates will look forward to.

The Flett Events Theatre is a dedicated conference

venue in a setting a million miles from the usual

hotel surroundings. Get inspired in this auditorium-

style theatre with built-in audiovisual facilities,

a boardroom and bright foyer, ideal for registering

and catering.

Refresh your delegates’ minds at lunchtime with

a private viewing of the From the Beginning gallery,

a journey back in time to the big bang and the

beginning of the Earth. Explore the distant past

and take a peek into our future.

For an awayday they’ll remember, get your team

out of the office and awaken their enthusiasm

at the Natural History Museum.

Walking in through the grand Museum entrance

and past the visionary architecture of the Central

Hall will have their creative juices flowing for the

rest of the day. The Mary Anning Room offers

a bright open space ideal for workshops to

engage in discussion and thought.
