2007 Boron I 0055 (NH3CH2CH2NH3)B6O9(OH)2: Synthesis and Crystal Structure of a Novel Layered Borate Templated by Ethylenediamine. — Title compound (II) crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P21/c with Z = 4 (single crystal XRD). Its structure contains one-dimensional polyborate chains with 3, 11-membered boron rings and protonated amine molecules. The rings are linked by corner-sharing BO3 and BO4 groups to form two-dimensional layers.
