G D GOENKA GLOBAL SCHOOL, HISAR
NH-10, CHIKANWAS, HISAR
“Coming are the days, when family together stays,
Going out for excursions, going out to enjoy, I travelled from North to
South, from East to West,
Finally, sitting inside our houses, facing the water crisis, we completed our
homework without any delay, so that we can enjoy our holiday,
Holiday, holiday, here it is, with homework in little bits...
Oh Summer, why you so hot, you make us sweat but a lot of ice creams I
finally get !! Oh boy! So, let us enjoy...
Coming are the days where at home everyone stays...”
-from a student’s heart (Goenkan’s Thoughts)
These summers, don’t let the heat wave roll over you and cripple your activities. Here are some useful suggestions to keep you cool and calm throughout the vacations and also complete your work on time:-
Set out a timetable, by writing days of the weeks at the top, then adding
several rows and putting the dates in the corner of each box.
Remember that you mustn't put the homework off. Saving it for another day
isn't going to make it any better.
If you prefer to stick at one topic once you have it in your mind, do one
project at a time.
Do it in a relaxing environment so that you can focus, but are comfortable at
the same time.
Write a checklist- this gets your brain into gear, and you have more
satisfaction (maybe subconsciously) when you can tick things off. Do your
work in the hot hours of the afternoon and save the cooler evening
hours for outdoor activities.
