The Alternate Gatekeeper

• ECS100 Pro Alternate

• Communicates with Core Gatekeeper every 3 seconds

• Assumes Core Gatekeeper function and identity if core Gatekeeper fails

Gatekeeper Architecture


•If LEA has Gatekeeper then all Intra-LEA traffic stays within LEA

•All Inter-LEA and Inter-RBC traffic is routed through the Northern Grid Core Gatekeeper

•Easynet provide routing for Videoconferences to UKERNA on Interconnect and off-net through Internet.
