STRENGTHENING YOUR APPLICATION

19

• It is essential that ALL required supporting documentation be uploaded

• The motivation statement is very important and can be very significant in the final assessment of the application by NUFFIC.

• As Netherlands government assistance now focusses on a number of key ‘development themes’ it is important, if possible to show, how these themes are relevant to your proposed study in the Netherlands;

• The main themes include: - Food security - Security and rule of law - Water - Sexual and reproductive health and rights. • It may be beneficial to your selection prospects if you can show a

link between your study and one of these themes in your motivation statement

QUESTIONS AND PROBLEMS, WHAT HAPPENS NEXT? Please remember that the application for the NFP Fellowship is to

NUFFIC and NOT to ITC. In case of difficulties with the fellowship application process please

contact NUFFIC ([email protected]) and NOT ITC. Make sure that the application is submitted by the deadline (Next deadline Tuesday 4th February 2014) After the deadline passes, NUFFIC will check with ITC that you

really have been admitted to the course for which you applied for the fellowship.

Over the next few months the application is VERY thoroughly checked by ITC, NUFFIC, your local Netherlands Embassy, and your employer may be contacted.

Successful candidates are informed by NUFFIC (and not ITC). We wish you every success with your application!
