FOR THOSE ATTENDING LIVE WORSHIP AT NFCN:

We strongly encourage all worshippers

in all congregations to wear masks entering the facility, and continue to wear masks while

in the building, during worship and while attending Sunday School classes.

This request is based on increasing concerns from the CDC, our local authorities and our

liability insurance broker.

Those leading in worship on the platform need not wear masks during their leadership

if properly distanced.

We value our freedom to worship, and desire to keep that privilege. If you have any health issues

that would place you at greater risk, we encourage you to join us on our Livestream option until

it is safer for you to return. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

Here’s what we’ve done with your health and safety in mind:

We’ve posted warnings at all entrances reminding us to be aware of COVID-19 symptoms: Recent loss of taste or smell, fever or diarrhea in the last 24-48 hours. If you’ve experienced any of these, we ask you to watch the service online from home. Contact-free thermometers are available in Woodland Street Mall if you’d like to take your temperature. Masks are preferred in all areas of the building. They will be worn by our staff and greeters. If you’ve forgotten yours, we have some extras.

The building has thoroughly cleaned and sanitized and will be cleaned

again after you leave.

HOW DO WE DO PERSEVERE?

Last Sunday – We are to practice mutual submission, agape love, cherish and respect, honor and nurture in our family relationships, empowered by the infilling of the Holy Spirit.TODAY: EPHESIANS 6:10-18 (NLT)Remember Whose we are! (Verses 10-12)We choose to be strong - (endunamousthe) - empowered, enabledOur goal is to stand firm - (stēnai) – notice who we’re resisting

…God’s reality…includes the subjection of every power. Believers have the task in this unseen reality to make God’s wisdom known to the spiritual powers…and to stand against them. ~Klyne Snodgrass

We must be sensitive to and aware of the spiritual battle swirling around us and be a focused Spirit-filled soldier in that battle. The influence to focus on other human beings as our enemies diverts us from the larger battle which is spiritual in nature. THE enemy will try and convince us our ENEMIES are flesh and blood humans. Don’t fall for it! We serve a victorious God who has won the war and wins the battles!

Put on God’s Armor! (Verses 13-17)The transcending effect of all this is an imperial confidence amidst the smoke of battle in this life. We have no doubt that we are victors, and we show this in battle… ~R. Kent Hughes

Don’t forget your sword–the Word of God! Jesus used it, so must we.Read – Meditate – Memorize – Study the Word. (Hughes)

Pray! (Verse 18) To be a Christian without prayer is no more possible than to be alive without breathing. ~Dr. Martin Luther
