Our StoryFounded in 2013, naisA Global was established with a vision to build the next generation of great Asian leaders. Along with founder Dr. Jamie Younghee Sheen, naisA Global is led by a team of accomplished professionals who have recognized the gap between high-achieving Asian Americans and their representation in corporate, academic, and governmental leadership roles.
Often referred to as the “bamboo ceiling” or “sticky floor,” this is largely cited as a result of a combination of individual, cultural, and organizational factors impeding Asian professionals from career progress. naisA Global’s goal is to educate and empower emerging young Asian leaders throughout the world by providing them with mentorship opportunities, leadership training, and tools that foster and develop effective communication skills. naisA Global’s programs were established in response to the critical lack of Asian leadership that exists nationally and globally.

Dear Friends, Five years ago, in 2013, we established naisA Global, a nonprofit organization that focuses on empowering young Asian leaders across the globe. We accomplish this through meaningful and effective platforms that connect our new and emerging leaders to established and experienced mentors. We also leverage valuable programs that provide training and tools for leadership and professional development.
Our journey is early in its quest and we have made a significant impact since our founding. Our impact is realized by the growth and size of our network, which currently reaches over 2500 high caliber professionals around the world. Central to our progress has been our partnerships with like-minded organizations and individuals who share our vision and have contributed by various means to sustaining our journey.
We are proud of our existing platforms that have delivered great value. Our online mentoring platform, naisA Talks, Protégé Fair, career mentoring group sessions, and our annual NextGen Awards Gala, all help bring our vision of breaking barriers for young Asian leaders to life.
As CEO, I am honored and humbled to be a part of this incredible life changing journey for our Asian youth. It is remarkable to witness all the positive progress, the hard work and collaboration, and the genuine friendships that have developed. The joy and excitement that emanates is truly heartwarming.
Thank you Protégés, Mentors, and Sponsors. Congratulations to this year’s honorees and awardees. Let’s celebrate tonight!

Celebrating family caregivers. The question wasn't whether or not I would do this-it's whether I was prepared enough or not. You have always been there for me-and now I will be there for you. The values you taught me inspired me for this important moment. And with the right guidance, support, and preparation, I know that I am not in this alone. Though our roles may have changed, one thing remains the same-we are stronger, together. And whatever it takes, I will be ready.
AARP recognizes family caregivers and all that you do for your loved ones. Being ready to care for a loved one takes time, planning, and support. With AARP's variety of Caregiving resources, including the documentary Caregiving: The Circle of Love and the Prepare to Care planning guide, you don't have to go through this alone.
