NEXT LEVEL INTEGRATION

The custom made solutions for Mitsubishi offered by Navco International are known for the highlevel of integration and quality. In addition, our propositions are very distinctive from all other products offered in the (after)market and we offer true added value on each level in the supply chain, ranging from the car importer, to the dealer and the end consumer.

The primary focus for Navco International is on integrated infotainment solutions and automotiveLED illumination. Besides these key product lines, Navco International has various other special solutions that can be easily integrated and which are vehicle specific. Examples of complementary products are Qi wireless charging, reversing cameras, DAB+ tuners, PDC and TPMS.

All product and system solutions aim at increasing driving pleasure, safety and comfort for both the driver as well as the passengers in a Mitsubishi car.

Getting charged for the future! One of Navco International’s key strenghts is the ability to develop custom made solutions that are compatible with the global automotive industry standards of tomorrow.

The new global industry standard: Qi charging The latest technological development is wireless charging which is based on Qi technology. It is expected that in the near future almost all cars will have wireless charging options and automotive supports the new Qi standard globally.

Using non certified Qi solutions can cause risks and negative influence on various levels, ranging from performance of the smart phone to interference with other car related wireless signals such as eg keyless entry.

Qi is the new global automotive industry standard for wireless charging. Only official certified solutions by Qi (WPC consortium) have been designed and produced in accordance with Qi guidelines and can use the Qi logo.

As with any new technology that rapidly gains market share, the number of companies that will focus on wireless charging solutions will also start to increase. This means that there seem to be many alternatives to choose from. However between these solutions there are significant differences which can have a major impact on quality and performance.

Blind Spot Detection (BSD)

Navco International introduces the next step in road safety. Blind Spot Detection (BSD) tracks traffic just behind the car as well as what is coming alongside. The alert stays active until the car in the adjacent lane is in front of your car, or at least directly alongside.

Navco International offers the perfect BSD solution for a PDI or dealer based installation. Both from technical as well as commercial perspective, it offers the car importer a great new opportunity and the end user even greater added value in terms of safety.

Our In-Sense BSD uses radar sensors on the left and right rear side of the car, combined with a model specific wiring harness for easy installation. The LED BSD alert buttons are installed at the A-Pillar sections and are available in different designs, matching the car interior and car importer preference.

Alarming signals are given in two ways. During normal driving, when there is a car in the blind spot detected, the LED in the A-Pillar lights up. In addition, when the turning signal is on, an audible alert can be heard as well.

All our BSD solutions are developed and manufactured in accordance with TS1649 certification.

Following the developments in OEM, Navco International developed a new Around View Monitor proposition that offers a complete 360 round view.

The solution is based on 4 camera positions which are integrated in the front and rear side of the car and one in each side mirror. The exact position is determined in close collaboration with the car importer and can be made model specific.

The 360 view can be displayed in several ways. First option is based on the combination with our In-Touch head units which have be prepared to offer full integration of our special AVM solution.Second solution is to display it on the original OEM car head unit. Third option is to use a special Digital Rearview Mirror (DRM) with integrated TFT. Note that our DRM solutions all have the official E-mark approval.

Optional: Instead of 360 , also a 180 panorama view can be offered.

Lighting Sensor The introduction of daytime running lights (DRL) has increased the level of safety thanks to improved visibility of a car in traffic. However in weather conditions where there is less daylight or overall visibility (eg due to rain, fog etc), many cars still don't automatically switch to normal lighting and keep using only DRL at the front side of the car. This can lead to dangerous situations.

The In-Sight Lighting Sensor will help drivers by automatically switching to normal lighting (front/rear) when the overall visibility is changing and when improved visibility of the car is needed to maintain a safe situation for the driver and other participants in the traffic.

Digital recorders have been in the market already for some time but the challenge has been to offer the level of integration that car importers require for their PDI activities and their special OES accessories.

Navco International has expanded it's In-Sense product line with car safety and comfort solutions with a new range of special CAR DVRs which offer seamless integration.

All our CAR DVR solutions are developed and manufactured in accordance with ISO TS16949.

Many car models in the higher end segments have a variety of comfort features. These features often demand a high level of integration in case it is offered for PDI or dealer installation.

Navco International developed a line of automated trunk opening solutions. Opening can be activated by (OE) remote control or dash button and closing the trunk is possible by an integrated special button which is installed in the tail gate.

This typical high end feature becomes herewith available for a wide range of cars, also in the mid and lower segments.

Navco International has been developing several solutions for integration of DAB+ in currrent and future car models. These include add-on units for existing OE (car maker) head units as well as standalone DAB+ tuners which can be combined with eg. our In-Touch infotainment solutions.

One of the most recent developments is the special combi antennas that support both FM(AM) and DAB+. Navco International can offer several designs ranging from window aerials to mast antennas and shark antennas. The actual performance of the DAB+ system depends on several parameters. The most important one is the DAB+ coverage based on the status of the network infrastructure. Within Europe there is a big difference between countries at the moment. Countries as UK, Norway and Switzerland have been developing the DAB+ network already for a long time, where for other countries, they just have started with DAB+ with offering it first in some major cities.

Other key parameters for the performance are the DAB+ chipset and the antenna. The chipset is part of the product design but for the antenna, customers can be more flexible cause. Note however that different antennas will give a different performance. In general the performance of an external antenna can be considered as most strong where mast antennas have slightly better results compared to shark design antennas. Aerial antennas are installed at the front or rear window of a car and they can give a relative good result in terms of reception but this depends a lot on the coverage of the network. For many countries, especially the ones in which DAB+ is still in development, external antennas are advised.
