DRS DS supplies more than 2,000 MHz of satellite space segment globally to the Department of Defense (DoD). GuaranTeeD prOTecTiOnA subsidiary of Finmeccanica, DRS Defense Solutions is 100 percent American-controlled and is a defense contractor operating under a U.S. Federal Government proxy agreement. The proxy agreement fences off sensitive operations by requiring DRS Defense Solutions to have strict interaction policies and a separate all-U.S.-citizen management structure. In addition, a DRS DS government security committee (GSC) enforces the safeguard of classified information and protected unclassified information, and ensures compliance with various defense-related laws, rules and regulations.
