Today we live in an interconnected world and it's getting smaller daily. Humans are using its greatest resources poorly in addressing these matters due to a focus that is based on national interests, regional or other divisive partisan factors, or on financial interests which leads to many critical challenges to be faced by my generation. Mankind is being made up of the body and the mind. The mind itself is the factory where great destinies are produced and is capable of endless possibilities if put to right use. Every achievement, act or doing had its origin in the mind. But unfortunately, the youths in my generation have had their minds dulled and have indeed lost their identity; they are satisfied with being complacent. As the world’s population grows and develops economically, my generation has to tackle new and complicated issues. Currently we are facing several critical problems, such as the environment, its infrastructure and access to education. Water, air and land are all affected by pollution, whether it is caused by human waste or chemicals in the emissions and effluent from factories and vehicles. Over-watering because of extensive irrigation and the use of chemical fertilizers on farms is also degrading our land. Overcrowding and poor design of internal and public space leads to significant levels of noise pollution. Everyone wants cleaner water and air, and we certainly need quality land and soil to grow the food we need. Interestingly, the most common personal problem identified as faced by my generation is obesity relating to individual health. It is suggested that there should be more emphasis on health and nutrition, particularly in primary schools, and an increase in the time given to physical education. Education and training become more critically important even though it is rising in cost. There is a massive increase in numbers of highly educated and trained recruits are needed in the work force. Companies are looking to employ applicants with post-graduate qualifications rather than undergraduates. Cooperation and communication were identified as one of the most critical requirements for my generation. A call for new means of cooperating and the development of innovative collaborative models was an issue. While facilitating interoperability among technologies is difficult, achieving interoperability between people across organizational and geographical boundaries can present a significant barrier in this generation.

Although these challenges above along with many others are serious issues that need to be addressed by the leaders of our generation, one of the challenges that I believe is greatest amongst our generation is an "instant gratification mentality," which is believing success is an overnight thing rather than a process that can take quite a bit of years. In essence, this mentality that success in life comes quick in life rather than through a long process is an issue that our generation will have to overcome in the years to come.If my generation has to overcome these challenges and build a successful world to the future, then it must learn to put aside our superficial or petty differences and learn to work unilaterally to start fixing some of our planets concerns and problems.
