Hydraulic double diaphragm metering pump in AISI316L stainless steel
A line of plunger and hydraulicdouble diaphragm meteringpumps designed according tothe API 675 standards.
The flexibility of using differentmaterials in contact with theprocess fluid makes possible tothen satisfy a wide range ofdosing and mixing applications.
The compliance with ATEXdirective makes SEKO pumpssuitable for being installed evenin classified areas.
Mechanismsn Positive return type in different sizes
n Internal worm gearbox, oil bathlubricated with low noise emissions
n Rotating parts on bearings tominimize power consumption
n Each mechanism comes completewith an internal gearbox; pumpswith different speeds (strokes/min)can therefore be joined to formmulti-head pump units, allowing agreater flexibility when selectingthe pumps themselves.
n Stroke adjustment with highprecision can be achieved, bothmanually and automatically.Electrical and pneumaticservomotors designed by SEKO areavailable. Also an increase ofturndown ratio can be achieved byfrequency converter varying thespeed of the electrical motor.

Flexibility The motor is horizontally assembled on the right, as standard. The pumps canalso be produced with a horizontal left side motor or even vertically assembled,depending on the installation requirements.
ModularityAll Nexamechanisms, even of different sizes, can be easily combined to form metering units with certain significantconstruction advantages, simplifying assembly and installation.
n The mechanisms are coupled together using joints with no exposed parts; the result is a compact unit with astrong and properly-aligned connection which does not require the use of a special base
n Another advantage is the possibility of adding a pump to another existing pump just by performing a few simplecoupling operations , even on site

YN, TN, HN: Hydraulic double diaphragm headsThe ideal solution for applications requiring high levels ofoperational safety and reliability:
n Zero leakage; watertight construction for dosing toxic, corrosiveand other hazardous liquids, to which a leakage free solution isfundamental
n Protection against external pollutants which could contaminate theliquid being pumped if using plunger pumps
n Double diaphragm, double protection; if one of the twodiaphragms gets damaged, the protection system immediatelysignals the anomaly; the pump is nevertheless permitted tocontinue to operate, thereby preventing immediate downtime
n Flexibility of use; the PTFE diaphragms are compatible with a vastassortment of liquids
n Flow rate modularity; the rated flow rate can be changed by simplyreplacing the plunger and the relevant seal cartridge (change ofplunger diameter).
n Solid suspensions; the diaphragm’s proper positioning is ensuredby a mechanical system which does not require the use ofperforated shields on the process side, thereby allowing for liquidscontaining solid suspensions to be pumped.
n Construction materials; the parts in the standard configuration incontact with the liquid are made from AISI 316L stainless steel, PPand PVDF. Other materials are available upon request.
PN, KN: Plunger headsThe simplest and most suitable solution for dosing andtransferring non-hazardous liquids; despite their simpledesign PN and KN heads have certain special features whichprovide for an extremely high performance
n Particularly precise plunger surface finishing, with increasedhardness for a longer working life
n Perfect alignment of the plunger in the seal
n Adjustable seal provided for flushing or leakage recovery

n Venting systemAside from guaranteeingautomatic venting duringoperation, the venting systemalso facilitates the pump start-up by favouring the air purgeby means of a manual action.
n Mechanical refillingsystemMaintains a constant level ofthe hydraulic fluid, therebyguaranteeing maximumprecision and repeatability.Also maintains control overthe deformation of thediaphragm, therebyincreasing its duration.
n Cartridge valvesIn order to ensure maximumdosing precision, even forsmall flow rates, double andtriple ball configurations areavailable with high precisionseats. They can be replacedwithout disconnecting thepump from the pipelines.The metal gaskets for the AISI316L stainless steel heads,and the FPM gaskets for thosein plastic, guaranteemaximum compatibility.
n Pressure relief valveProtects the pump againstunwanted excess pressure.
n Double diaphragm withrupture detectorIn the event that one of thetwo diaphragms shouldrupture, the detector activatesa local visual indicator orsignal; in this emergencysituation, the seconddiaphragm guarantees thepump’s continuedfunctionality and allows forthe necessary maintenanceintervention to be scheduled.
n Separation of thehydraulic fluid from themechanism’s lubricantThe two fluids haveindependent anddifferentiated functions andare therefore kept separate.
