ESL for Kids

any schools will place children in an ESL program if their non-English speaking family recently immigrated to the United States or if a foreign student needs extra help in learning the English language. “ESL for kids” is designed to give these kids with special attention whilelearning learning English so that they can integrate into a regular classroom. The amount of time that a child will spend in an ESL program will depend on the child's grasp of the English language. Teachers in an ESL program do not have to know every native language of the ESL students in their classrooms. Over time, they may pick up a few words from their students, but the primary focus is teaching the kids to speak, read, and understand English. Many ESL programs go beyond with other languages as well. Most will help kids and students adjust to American society and culture. The kids can often take these lessons home to share with their parents.
