WELCOME
Newtown Babe Ruth Baseball is proud to be the host for the 2018 13 Prep Division Connecticut State Championship Tournament here in Newtown, Connecticut. We hope to continue the excellence of previous tournaments and to provide both players and families with an outstanding baseball experience. All games will be played at High Meadow Field located next to the Newtown Youth Academy facilities. There is ample parking. Food, snacks and drinks will be available for most games. We ask that you are respectful of the players and the families around you and refrain from negative remarks, insults, taunts and profanity. If you have an issue, please inform the tournament officials on site. This guide will provide tournament information as well as the location of medical support, surrounding area activities, restaurants and more. During the Tournament, please see the Newtown Babe Ruth Baseball website for the updated bracket, pregame procedures, daily pitch counts and scores. We hope that you enjoy your visit and good luck to your team!

THE FIELD
High Meadow Baseball Field 4 Primrose Street Newtown, CT 06470
This game only lighted facility including its mastodon style batting cage opened in 2008 and is the crown jewel of the 90 foot diamonds in Newtown. Teams that come early should gather in the batting cage area until they take the batting cage or the playing field.
Ample parking is available adjacent to the field in front of the Newtown Youth Academy. Handicap parking is available close to the field and in designated spots.
Portable toilets will be available next to the field. Please be considerate of those around you and clean up after usage.

Directions: From I-84 East or West Take Exit 11 (CT-34/Derby/New Haven) Turn left at the end of the ramp/traffic light onto Wasserman Way. Travel 1.0 mile. Take left at first light at Trades Lane into the Fairfield Hills campus (Reed Intermediate School will be on your right). Travel through 2 stop signs until you see High Meadow Field on your left. From US 15 (Merritt Parkway) Take Exit 49 to CT-25 North. Travel 14.1 Miles. Turn Right onto Mile Hill Road. Travel .5 Miles. Turn Right onto Trades Lane into Fairfield Hills Campus. Travel through 2 stop signs until you see High Meadow Field on your left.
