Principal’s Report
During Term 2 our school has been working on a range of interesting achievements. Some of these include;
staff familiarisation with new National English syllabus, Aboriginal Education which includes a week of
NAIDOC activities, PBL development of core values, PBL swan logo competition, student leaders—roles and
responsibilities to encourage active citizens in the school community. Speech craft and debating with our
senior students culminating in their graduation tonight. The speeches being delivered to parents, carers and
guests. By the start of next term canteen refurbishments will be completed.
There has been a wide range of work being conducted across all areas of the school’s operation. This is due
to the ongoing effort and commitment of our staff. The dedication, effort, energy and time of teaching and
non teaching staff is a very positive feature of Inverell Public School that enables the provision of high quality,
relevant educational programs.
Tomorrow we farewell Mr Robinson who has been teaching at IPS since 2003. His contribution to the school
and his enthusiasm for teaching, will be greatly missed by staff and students.
As we begin the winter school holiday I extend my thanks to staff for their work and look forward to Term 3
as we share the goal of providing an educational opportunity.
To students and their families I wish you all a safe and happy holiday. Have fun, take care and I will look
forward to learning about holiday adventures when classes resume.
