Year 6 - SAT’s
Thank you to all our Year 6 parents who
attended our SAT’s meeting on Thursday,
31st January 2019, it was a great turnout!!
We will be taking orders for Revision Books
(packs) from next week. These packs will
cost £4.50 each. We will require full payment
before Friday, 8th February (noon) at the
school office. Orders submitted after this time
cannot be accepted.
Parking on Walton Road and Price Road.
We have some issues at school with parents parking in front of emergency access,
across dropped kerbs, over junctions and zigzags outside our school. Some of these
areas have yellow lines—please adhere to parking restrictions as inconsiderate parking can
cause inconvenience to neighbours and other road users.
The existing school entrance markings on Walton Road are ‘No Stopping Monday to Friday 8am
– 4pm’.
Due to inconsiderate parking across a junction a child was nearly knocked over. To ensure the
safety of our children we have spoken with West Midlands Police. The outcome of this is that
around the hours of 8.30am - 8.50am, 11.30am and 3.25pm vehicular activity will be monitored.
In December parents/staff/neighbours/members of the public have been asked to take
photographic evidence of any vehicle that is causing an obstruction or parked in a dangerous
manner. Any vehicle registration number (VRM) we receive will be recorded, published in the
school Newsletter and passed on to West Midlands Police where a Fixed Penalty Notice will be
issued.
The photographic evidence must show where and how the car was parked and show the vehicle
registration.
These actions are legal.
Nut Allergy
A child in Reception has a severe nut
allergy. Could we please ask that you
are more vigilant with the products
that you put in lunch boxes and
check they do not contain nuts.
Safeguarding our children
Please inform school when someone else is
collecting your child. We do not release
children to someone for which we are
unaware of or do not know. Anyone
collecting children must be over 16 years
old. You must provide us with a password,
and the person collecting your child must
give your chosen password to the member of
staff releasing your child.
Head lice
There have been cases of head lice in school.
Please check your child for these. Information
on how to deal with head lice can be found on
our website.
