incorporating various topical

themes such as Valentines Day,

Mothers Day and Easter.

Roll up, Roll up for the circus! We will be introducing the circus theme

after half term with crafts which include

making a clown mask, popcorn and a

circus skills workshop. Themed activities

and a trip to the circus will ensure that all

brownies have the opportunity of

completing the circus performer badge by

Easter.

Mothers Day

Celebration

Mums are invited to the last part of our meeting on Wednesday 11th March for a Mothers Day celebration—a chance for us to show you how special you are! You will

be given hand-made gifts there are some other surprises in store too - we promise! So put the date in your diaries, mums!

Square Eyes! The various meetings up to

half term are based around popular telly

programmes. There are game shows such as

‘Copycats’, test those culinary skills in our

‘Masterchef’ theme night and an evening of

Bushtucker Trials in ‘I’m a Brownie, Get me

Out of Here’! We will also be testing our

observation skills ‘Through the Keyhole’ and

doing ‘Countryfile’ crafts!

Trip to Blackpool Tower

This exciting trip is planned for

Sunday 22nd March. We are off to

Blackpool Tower for a fun-filled day

which includes a trip to the Tower Top and 4D

Cinema, Jungle Jim’s Adventure Play Area and the

famous Blackpool Tower Circus. It’s an expensive

trip so we are using £400 from our brownie funds

to subsidise it and keep the cost down to £15.00

per brownie for you. Full details

SUNDAY 8th

MARCH Our resident

dance teachers,

Briony and Holly, are hoping to

organise a district Danceathon

on Sunday 8th March to raise

money for Red Nose Day. If they

get the approval for this at the

Girlguiding Meeting next week

they will start to put plans in

place. It is hoped this will be an

event for brownies, guides and

rainbows throughout Astley,

Tyldesley and Atherton which will

take place at Garrett Hall. There

is a special Comic Relief

Girlguiding dance to learn as

well as a limited-edition badge.
