The «SCR ACADEMY RE» Foundation was created in 2017, in the form of a non-profit o r g a n i z a t i o n , to meet the

requirements of the Insurance and Reinsurance market. Through this Foundation, SCR wishes to use its technical exper tise across the various branches of insurance (f ire, engineering, aviation, maritime and civil liability), acquired over the past 58 years, as well as in areas related to pricing, actuarial science and prevention.

During the two years of its activity, the foundation has given several themes led by eminent exper ts in the f ields of Insurance and Reinsurance. SCR Academy Ré Foundation suppor ts the company in its international development

strategy by organizing advanced training courses in Abidjan, Nairobi and Kigali as par t of the technical assistance provided to our African par tners.

The 2019 program currently under development, will focus on various themes that will be offered to managers of Moroccan insurance companies, representatives of African companies and the Middle East, as well as employees of SCR. Thus, actuaries, under writers and reinsurance managers will choose a seminar best suited to their needs to improve their skills and develop their reinsurance experience.

OPENING THE REPRESENTATIVE OFFICE IN CAIRO, EGYPTIn continuation of its international development strategy and after opening its regional offices in west Africa, in Abidjan (the Republic of Ivory Coast) and East Africa in Kigali (Rwanda), SCR has been granted agreement to open a regional office in Cairo (Egypt).

This establishment in Egypt is part of the STRONG II plan, a strategic plan that targets international expansion targeting high potential markets, in order to consolidate our role as a leading actor in Reinsurance.

Through this new structure, SCR would first like to offer our partners strong coordination and quick and efficient access to our Reinsurance support, but also develop high added value services to accompany growth of the Insurance and Reinsurance market in Egypt.

As such, this confirms our positioning as a prominent national reinsurer with an international focus, based on the proximity to our customers and partners.
