Continuing the success of Erasmus+, the next programme will provide learning and mobility opportunities to 12 million people, which is three times more than then current programme. The programme is about "evolution, not revolution" meaning that it will continue to cover schools, vocational education and training, higher education and adult learning - youth and sport, but in a more streamlined manner. It will further promote activities which foster knowledge fields e.g. climate change, robotics etc. and give more opportunities to people who need help. By giving emphasis in people, their skills and their knowledge it will help manage global challenges, maintain social fairness and drive Europe's competitiveness. SOURCE

European Youth Together is the new initiative that allows young people to becomemembers of a European youth community, a network that will promote regionalpartnerships where young people can set up joint projects and thus experience thebenefits of Erasmus+ in their region.‘European Youth Together’ is a new Key Action 3initiative that aims to create networks promoting regional partnerships, which will run inclose cooperation with young people from across Europe. These networks can organizeexchanges, promote training and allow young people to set up joint projects themselves. The Call will support activities from at least five youth organizations from differentregions spread across Erasmus+ Programme Countries. The activities should be designedto share ideas about EU values, encourage wider civic participation, explorecommonalities and help foster a sense of European citizenship.

Between 16 April and 29 April 2018, local organizations of the Erasmus StudentNetwork were encouraged to join the social Inclusion Days - an initiative for a cause ofsocial inclusion through volunteering. The two weeks long initiative providedopportunities for international students to learn how they can contribute to improvingsociety. While celebrating and enjoying their Erasmus+ experience, students and young peoplehad the chance to take part in activities such as food drives and donations, fundraisers,clothes donations, animal shelter visits, educational workshops, conferences, and manymore events that promote social inclusion. Two main focuses of this edition were: theimportance of the social impactinternational volunteers have on the local communities and inclusive events. Localassociations in 27 countries hosted 507 events that reached more than 11000 people.

The EMJMD Catalogue has been improved with a new search tool!

The initiative known with the name Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree – EMJMD,has been a successful one through the years, reaching in 2018 a total of about 150 mileuro allocation. At present the EMJMD Catalogue displays the masters offering Erasmus Mundusfunded scholarships in the academic year 2019-2020. With the help of the new improvedsearch tool interested persons can find relevant information from EMJDM by field ofstudy, country, universities or other participating organizations, and year of intake. Forthe last criteria it is possible to choose for multiple entries, all other criteria is filteringthe results narrowing the interrogation. Every master program has an acronym within thelist and the link to the corresponding master course website. The new tool is particularlyhelpful for someone that is searching only a particular country master program or a

BlendED AIM 2018

The Antonio Nariño University (UAN) is a Colombian,private and comprehensive young university. The UAN iscommitted to democratizing knowledge by expanding highereducation coverage and promoting equal opportunities. Theuniversity has 31 campuses throughout Colombia and isamong the top 10 universities in Colombia in terms ofinternational scientific production and research rankings.

Sandra Guarín has over fourteen years of experience ininternationalization of higher education. She is the Chair ofthe UAN’ Internationalization Laboratory and the NationalCoordinator of the Colombian Network for theInternationalization of Higher Education (RCI). She holds aB.A. in International Relations, a graduate degree inEuropean Studies and a Master degree in DevelopmentPractice.

The Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca is theinstitution with the oldest academic tradition in Romania(dating back to 1581) and the largest in the country (withmore than 36000 students every year). UBB’s history isclosely connected to that of Cluj and Transylvania, andincreasingly with the history of Central and Eastern Europe,and, in resonance with a typically local, regional and inter-regional culture, has developed into a model-institutionmainly characterized by multiculturalism, pluri-lingualism andmulti-confessionalism.

Ramona Onciu graduated from Babeș-Bolyai University(Faculty of European Studies) with a BA in Economics (1999– 2003) and continued her studies at the Faculty of Political,Administrative and Communication Sciences with aninternational MA in Public Administration. In 2010, Ms.Ramona Onciu was enrolled in the Doctoral School ofCommunication and obtained her Ph.D. in 2016 with a thesison the impact of social networks on the communication andpromotion of international universities. Ms. Onciu has beenemployed by Babeș-Bolyai University University since 2003and has been named Erasmus+ institutional coordinator thesame year.
