Their flagship product, the AH 2700A, is a unit that offers unparal-leled stability, resolution, linearity and accuracy in a multi-frequency capacitance/loss bridge. Eblana Photonics designs and manufactures laser diodes for communi-

cations and other applications. Eblana's new 1550 nm narrow linewidth Butterfly laser diode module offers high quality (< 350 kHz linewidth) and con-sistent performance. It is now available through Elliot Scientific and is

used in high bandwidth coherent communications applications where, for example, high spectral efficiency, phase encoded signals are required to overcome transmission bottle-necks. The devices can also be found in sensor, medical and imaging applications.

Electron Dynamics are specialists in control and instru-

mentation. We are pleased to offer their range of HPE series heat pumps that provide a fully integrated thermo-electric temperature control system in a convenient package. The HPE comprises fan,

heatsink, thermo-electric cooler and thermal block constructed as a complete heat pump assembly. By using the Peltier effect it can both heat and cool, so an HPE unit can effect precise servo-controlled thermal stabilization when used in conjunc-tion with an ETCS temperature controller. Alternatively, it can be simply used in an unregulated mode from a 15 volt DC power supply.

CRAIC, the leading developer of superior UV-visible-NIR microanaly-

sis instruments for science and industry, have launched new and up-graded versions of their UV and NIR microscopes, UV-visible-NIR mi-crospectrophotometers and other instruments to measure thin film thick-ness and colorimetry on the microscopic scale. Spectra and images of samples less than a micron across can be acquired and specialised sys-tems have been developed for a number of fields including vitrinite coal analysis and semiconductor metrology.

OPTOSCI have extensive experience in the design and production of photonic in-

struments. We are now offering their LDR range of laser driver modules that provide a versatile and user friendly platform for stable current and thermo-electric control

(TEC) of laser diodes, SOAs, SLDs, 980 nm pump lasers and so on. The fully integrated digital Eurocard modules are designed for device characterisation, prototype development and experimental sys-tems and offer easy device integration, full PC control and moni-

toring, or set & forget operation utilising the on-board EPROM. The LDRS OEM module is a stable, low noise 250 mA or 1.0 A current driver and TEC supplied in a credit card size, three board stack that uses the same LDR core hardware and offers similar high specifications as the Eurocard modules. The LDRS is designed so that it can be readily integrated with active devices and a custom enclosure to enable provision of value-added products.

And finally... we hope to see you at Photonex 2008, which takes place on October 15th & 16th at the NAC Stoneleigh Exhibition Halls near Coventry. We are on Stand B20.
