New Arrival! We are very proud to announce the arrival of a new addition to our ‘family’ of school vehicles. Thanks to Tony “Auto” Welch, Chloe Welch and Peter Stasinowsky we are now the proud owners of an immaculate 12 seat Toyota Hiace minivan. Our Character Strengths in action Prep/1/2 Class Pets Adventures

The students in Prep/1/2 classes have 2 class pets- Rosie and Rufus the dinosaurs. They are taking them home each night to write about what they do. The next day their adventures and photos of what they did are shared with the class. On Friday, and over the weekend Rosie and Rufus had their first adventure at the Eckermann’s house. We will keep you informed from time to time with their adventures.

Rosie and I had fun. We played the ipad together. Rosie slept on my bed. The next morning we waited for the engagement party. Then we played a puzzle together. We had the best days of our lives. Giaan Eckermann

Rufus and I went to the engagement party. We ate tea and watched TV. I slept with him. We rode my scooter and had a go on the swing and the trampoline. We said “Hi” to Mrs Solly at the party. We had breaky and he had a nap. We hugged each other. We had the best day of our life. He went in the car. Amaya Eckermann

WE’RE TAKING IT IN OUR STRIDE ON FRIDAY 19 MAY 2017

Well it’s that time of year again when our school seriously starts talking about walking!Walk Safely to School Day asks that we all consider our transport habits and try to incorporate more walking as part of a healthy, active way to get around. And alt-hough walking all the way to school isn’t realistic for many of us, it’s quite easy to figure out how you can build a walk into your family’s daily routine.

You can teach your child the healthy habit of walking more by:

Walking with them the whole way to school If they get the bus or train, walk past your usual stop and get on at the next stop If you have to drive, park the car a few blocks away from the school and walk the rest of the way.

Regular exercise like walking with your child not only helps them (and you!) beat chronic problems like obesity, heart disease, behavioural and mental health issues and diabetes. It also gives you a great opportunity to teach your child safe ways to be-have around roads and traffic.

Remember, Active Kids are Healthy Kids so get planning your own Walk Safely to School Day journey for Friday 19 May 2017!
