Pre-Primary Children’s Day Celebration

D P S C H R ON IC L E

“Children are like flowers. Let them bloom by giving them your warm smiles and your soft gentle words”. On the occasion of Children’s day,a program was organized to make the day special. The ambience of the school was made colourful and jolly. The teachers performed various dances, by which the children were mesmerized the students. The children were treated with ice-creams which they relished. We believe that children are our future. And it is our duty as adults to make them real-ize the beauty their hearts behold.

Fieldtrip to Kamati Garden Picture yourself sitting in a small train that is running along shaded pathway on one side and huge fenced areas with different animals in them,on the other side. Yes, this would be the Sayaji Baug Zoo. Peep peep, watch out!! The train is approaching. For years Kamati Baug has been home to a miniature railway line. Earlier called the Ajayab ghar, the toy train was special train only for small children. A few years ago this train were given boggies which could fit in adults as well. The station was renamed as Swami Vivekananda Station and hence the toy train became the joy train! The children of Pre-Primary section at DPS Harni were taken for a field trip to Kamati garden. It was a super fun day for them. They saw different animals and birds. The ride through the garden in the train was their main attraction. The entire day was filled with fun and frolic. Enjoying a train ride with their class teachers, made the experience even more memorable.

“Reading is essential for those who seek to rise above the ordinary.” A book fair was organized for the students of DPS Harni for classes Pre-Nursery to VIII.

Book Fairs serve to promote the habit of reading in school-going children. By offering children a wide selection of books and related material through the school system, we wish to give them an opportunity to read by choice and not by compulsion.
