In a small village outside of Phnom Penh, sits a few acres of land. The land is made up of lots of dry dirt and a half-empty pond, yet inside of the property are 101 of Heaven’s Favorites. 84 children and 17 staff all together form a small, vastly underfunded orphanage. No running water system, bathroom facilities that are merely a hole in the ground, outdoor bucket showers… and yet there is hope and joy. When we decided to adopt them, they were surviving on $1650 per month, averaging less than one dollar a day per person. The staff is humble, hard working, and committed to the children as if they were their own. The children are full of joy, hearts of gratitude and passionately love Jesus. In March & April, we are taking our family of 7 to Asia for 7 weeks! The first 8 days of this trip will be spent developing sustainability for our orphanage that have now become an extended part of our family. The last 6 weeks will be spent working with several organizations throughout Thailand, Cambodia, and China. We will be doing everything from clean water filtration, ministry to girls rescued from trafficking, orphan care work, and so much more. The overall cost for this trip will obviously be substantial and yet we serve a God who is the above all you could ask or imagine giver. You allow us to put our vision into action and help change the world. Thank you. VISION WITHOUT ACTION IS MERELY A DREAM. ACTION WITHOUT VISION JUST PASSES THE TIME. VISION WITH ACTION CAN CHANGE THE WORLD. JOEL A. BARKER

At the orphanage specifically, we will be creating long-term solutions to their ongoing issues: resources, food, water, sanitation and more. We have 2 physicians coming who will be giving vaccinations to the children that have never received them, basic medical care, and teaching on hygiene. We are having an expert in

aquaponics come with us to help us set up their new system that will not only provide healthy protein and vegetation, but also give them an additional stream of income. We recently had our project manager, Cameron Henrion, go to Cambodia to scout the property and create for us a list of projects that are able to be done on the property, given the resources of the community, availability of the staff and size of the land.

The great news is they have a lot of facilities on the property but have not been able to afford updating the existing facilities and certainly not to purchase animals and vegetation to go in the facility. Our goal in this trip is to complete the following: • Complete Aquaponics System - $3,000 • Chicken / Egg Coup & Chickens - $3,500 • Large Fish Pond - $3,000 • Pig Pen Área - $1,500 • Cattle - $1000 each (very valuable in Cambodia) • New Shower Facilities - $2,000 We also have several other small gift type items we would like to get for them once we are in the country. This includes things like tea tree oil shampoo to help avoid lice; plastic mattresses to replace the current bamboo mats the children are sleeping on, new uniforms and more. With this portion of our trip, if you wish to sponsor one of the above projects, we will be having plaques made in honor of those who made it possible. The orphanage takes it very seriously becoming family with those who make their lives possible and make continued prayer over their donors an active part of their lives. It’s beautiful and humbling. Please make note of which portion you would like to sponsor.

Lastly, I highly encourage you to go to our website: www.bobandkimberly.com and you can see the Asia Missions Trip link with extended links to our practical needs list (supplies), fundraising portal and more. The cost of the trip for our family will be $15,000. We are so thankful we serve a big God that makes all things possible. If you are not on our email list and wish to receive updates throughout our trip of where we are going, what we are doing, and how your seed is impacting the nations, please sign up for that as well.

Words simply cannot express our gratitude for you all, for making our vision to be able to be acted upon. I can promise, your prayers and your gifts have not fallen on dry ground, and we are working diligently to create a working model of sustainability so places like our little piece of property full of Heavens Favorites in Phnom Penh can have a long term future that is secure. With humility and gratitude, Bob and Kimberly
