PROFILE St. Soldier Educational Society (REGD).

St. Soldier Educational Society has its roots

long back to the year 1958, when esteemed

Smt. Shanta Chopra, the President of the

Society, started a small school in one room

with one teacher. With her continuous

persuasion & inspiration, St. Soldier Education

Society was constituted, which started four

schools in the year 1996.This society has

established 26 schools and 18 colleges within a

span of 13 years. This Educational Society has

developed into a pioneer educational group in

the name and style of St. Soldier Group of

Institutions, under the leadership of its worthy

Chairman Mr. Anil Chopra. St. Soldier Group

of Institutions is flourishing with leaps and

bounds under the able guidance and

administration of its respected Vice-

Chairperson Mrs. Sangeeta Chopra. This

Educational Group tends to imbibe in its

students the value of self- discipline, decision

making, cultural closeness along with moral

and ethical values.This Society imparts

education from nursery to 10+2 in almost all its

26 schools, and in almost all streams in its 18

colleges. St. Soldier Educational Society

always provides to its students the world class

infrastructure, modern lab equipment's,

comfortable hostel, transport and other

facilities in order to make their stay very

congenial and pleasant in each of its institutes.

This Educational Society has vision, mission

and deep scanning in hearts and minds to

provide best quality education through brilliant,

qualified and experienced faculty. In fact, this

Society is honestly devoted to the cause of

education.

SEMINARS

In the recent session many knowledgeable

seminars were organized by St Soldier

Management and Technical Institute,

Jalandhar. Various renowned personalities from

various reputed institutes shared their valuable

view points and enriched the students

Branding,Financing Decisions & Developing

Entrepreneurial Skills at Club

Cabana.Presentations were given by various

renowned personalities.

On 17th

Jan 2012 a seminar was conducted for

the students and faculty of St Soldier

Management &Technical Institute on the topic

“Voting Awareness”.In this seminar they

provided information about the importance of

voting in building up a strong foundation of a

country.

SSMTI had organized a workshop on “Mutual

Funds” on 8th

Feb 2012.Mr.Chetan Gill and

Mr.Puneet Madaan from DSP AMC Mutual

Funds visited SSMTI and gave presentation to

the students of BBA,MBA,MCA.

Taking a higher leap in Education, St Soldier

SSMTI had organized a seminar on World

Press Freedom Day on 2nd

May 2012.

Narula provided awareness among the students

on the need,importance and power of press in

present scenario.

COMPETITIONS

Various competitions were conducted in

SSMTI for the betterment and enhancement of

their students.

On 18th

Jan 2012 an Inter House Slogan

Writing competition was held in SSMTI. The

competition was organized by department of

Media. In this competition Shiv Kumar

(BSc-MEFT 2) stood first Robin Kanozia(BSc

MEFT 2) stood second and Pradeep(BSc

MEFT 4) stood third . Principal Dr.Sanjay Bahl

congratulated the winners and presented them

the winning certificates.

On 22nd

Feb 2012 an Inter House Modelling

competition was conducted in SSMTI among

the students of MBA, MCA, BBA, and BCA.

Main motive behind the event was to provide a

platform to the students to showcase their

glamour and talent. Shabaz Salam (MBA 4) &

Komal Sharma(MCA 6) won the competition.

S. Anoop Singh Multani, Director SSMTI was

graced on this occasion and said that such

events enhance the overall personality of the

students and provide them opportunity to grow

On 21 Mar 2012 Jalandhar Mangement

Association and PTU had organized

“BIZZFEST-2012” in SSMTI.Through this

event students were given a single platform for

sharing ample amount of knowledge &

skills.Various competions were done during

this event like Business Quiz,Business

Presentations,Management Games,Talent Hunt

& case studypresentations.On this occasion

Honorable Vice Chairman Mr Anil Chopra and

Principal Dr Sanjay Bahl congratulated the

winning team.

CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

In the recent session St Soldier Management

and Technical Institute had organized various

entertainment shows in the college campus

which were the limelight's of the whole

semester. Such entertainment activities has

brought an air of re-freshness in the campus.

On 13th

Jan 2012 St.Soldier Management &

Technical Institute celebrated the Lohri Festival

in the campus.On this occasion the students of

BBA,BCA,MBA & MCA participated in

different activities.On this occasion Honorable

Vice Chairperson Mrs.Sangeeta Chopra &

respected Principal Dr Sanjay Bahl

congratulated the students & staff members.

On 30th

Jan 2012 homage was paid to

Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi on his

Martyrdom by the students of SSMTI.

On 14th

Feb 2012 Valentine’s Day was

celebrated in college campus. The function was

organized by students of IT & Management.

SSMTI had organized Photography cum

Fashion Technology Exhibition in the college

campus. In this exhibition our Honorable Vice

Chairperson Mrs.Sangeeta Chopra and

respected Chief Guest Mrs.Shanta Chopra

felicitated the female student who brought

glory to the institute.

On 22nd

March 2012, Farewell Party “Jashen-

E-Vidai” was celebrated in the college campus.

This function was organized by Department of

IT and Management. Students from all the

courses participated in the show with full

enthusiasm which made this event a grand

success.

A tribute was given to Shaheed Bhagat Singh

on his Martyrdom on 23rd

March 2012. On this

occasion Honorable Principal Dr. Sanjay Bahl

felicitated the students and encouraged them to

adapt the path of patriotism and bring glory to

their country.

A visit by Actor & Singer Gippy Grewal & his

team for the promotion of their movie MIRZA

had mesmerized the whole campus.Students

enjoyed &tapped their feet on the hit songs

sung by Gippy Grewal.

PLACEMENT CORNER

In the recent semester St Soldier Management

and Technical Institute had organized three

placement drives in the campus for students of

MBA,MCA,BBA,BCA.

Many reputed companies like Indusind Bank,

Future Retail, First source, TradeIndia,

TataAIG, BlueHeavenSecurity ,Reliance

Fresh,Tata Docomo,Brain Equity,Coral

Biotech,Century Group,Lally Motors,NIIT,

Eureka Forbes,Dainik Bhaskar,Future

Retail,Thyrocare,HDFC Bank,AXIS Bank,

Future Generali, Microlab, FULLERTON

Securities and many more visited the campus

for the placement of students.

More than 200 students got placed in these

placement drives at a package of about 2-3 lac

per annum which speaks of the high quality

knowledge delivery system and commitment of

the management for all round development of

the students.

INDUSTRIAL VISITS

In the recent semester St Soldier Management

and Technical Institute had organized Industrial

visits for students of MCA-5 to various reputed

companies like Piford Technologies Mohali,

HCL Mohali, CS InfoTech Mohali and BSNL

Jalandhar. These Industrial trips were

organized to enhance the exposure of the

students for their upcoming professional career.

SSMTI had organized a visit of Media students

to Photography Exhibition & Workshop in

Ludhiana during which they learned &

expertise various technical aspects of

Photography.

WORKSHOPS

In the recent semester SSMTI had organized

various workshops for the students of IT.These

workshops were conducted by DUCAT and

TAI on ASP.NET Technologies. Mr. Amit

(Trainer, DUCAT) & Mr. Rajeev (Public

Relations Manager, TAI) were the resource

persons for this program.

SSMTI had organized a training program on

ORACLE 10g for students of BCA and MCA.

A team from SQL Technologies visited SSMTI

and conducted a workshop on “ORACLE 10g”

a higher version of ORACLE. This training

program really proved to be a knowledgeable

effort for the students.

TRAININGS

In the recent semester St Soldier Management

and Technical Institute had organized a 45 days

Training program in “Mobile Networking” for

the students of MCA in BSNL, Jalandhar.

SSMTI had also organized a LIVE PROJECT

for the students of BCA & MCA. In this On

Job Training project about 16 students had

worked under PPR INFOTECH, Jalandhar.

Here they worked on the projects of HTML &

CSS.
