INSTRUCTOR PROFILE: HOLLI RABISHAW

Holli Rabishaw teaches “Back in Balance”, a class that blends yoga, corrective exercise and self-massage using therapy balls. The class focuses on improving balance, increasing postural awareness, and strengthening your gait. Holli is a compassionate yoga therapist for Yoga Tune Up®, a fitness therapy format built around the three P’s: Pain, Posture and Perfor-mance.

Originally from Chicago, when Holli moved to California in 2000, she was looking for something new to study. She was inspired by all forms of movement, and decided to study yoga. She learned that our bodies are molded by our activities, and our personalities have an effect on our posture and how we hold ourselves. This all affects our confidence as we step out into the world. Even our gait, when we walk, is another reflection of our confidence.

Holli believes that our movement is a result of habit, and in her classes, she teaches students how to uncover their habit. She teaches four healthy movement patterns that lead to longevity. Holli studied anatomy to better understand the body’s alignment and to prevent injuries.

Holli’s motto is: “DMS” = Don’t Stop Moving. “Back in Balance” will begin on Thursday, September 27th and run for 8 weeks. For more information, please call: (818) 224-1777.
