Lucy Webb PRINCIPAL Early Years Conference for 2019 Wow! Its here again! That time of year when we welcome our new Kindy parents and carers to our school community at our Early Years Conference. This half day session provides attendees with information about what to expect when their child starts their schooling journey in 2020. Information about early Literacy and Numeracy, building resilience and our schools Visible Learning program form the main part of the agenda. There is also an opportunity to meet other parents and carers, the Admin team, and find out a little about how our school works! A notice will be sent out shortly for Thursday 24 th October, 9am – 11.30am. Morning tea will be provided. Leave As I will be taking some leave from next week through to Week 4 of next term, Mrs Astle will be taking on the role of Acting Principal in my absence. I trust that with the assistance of Mrs McEwen and Miss Clark, the school will be in good hands!

As mentioned in the last newsletter, we will be running a Dance program next term for Pre Primary to Year 6 students. The individual reports for all Year 3 and 5 students who participated in the testing earlier this year are now available. These reports have been mailed out this week to all parents and carers of Year 3 and 5 students. Please inform the school if you do not receive your child’s NAPLAN 2019 report by late next week.

Early Years Conference for 2019

Wow! It’s here again! That time of year when we welcome our new Kindy parents and carers to our school community at our Early Years Conference. This half day session provides attendees with information about what to expect when their child starts their schooling journey in 2020. Please note that the last day for Uniform Shop purchases this term will be Wednesday 25th

September from 8.30am until 9.15am. The shop will be closed on Thursday 26th September and

will re-open in Term 4 on Wednesday 16th October at 8.30am.

Safety House Contact Cards have arrived! They will be distributed this week; please keep an eye out for your children bringing them home & pop them in a good spot in their school bag.

Outdoor Movie Night

With a huge thanks to the Shire of Mundaring, the P&C were able to purchase some outdoor cinema equipment.

To celebrate we are holding a FREE school community outdoor movie night on Friday 25th October 2019 starting at 6pm.

The evening will also include a performance by the choir. Order forms will go home shortly for tickets. This is a free event but tickets will still be required for entry. Please support the P&C through our Candy Bar.

The presented movie will be Elf (PG) with an approximate running time

of 1 hour, 37 minutes. Movie will start at 7.30pm.
