The Pilchuck Camera Club was organized June 12, 1964 and is a member of the Photographic Society
of America (PSA) and the Northwest Council of Camera Clubs (NWCCC). Membership is open to
anyone interested in color or monochromatic digital photography. Club meetings are held at 7:00 p.m.
on the second Thursday of each month in the Baker Heights Social Hall, 1401 Poplar Street, Everett,
WA. .

My favorite flower is the iris, and my favorite place to find flowers is
at the Pike Street Market in Seattle.
Because of the low light inside the market I had my ISO bumped up
to 800.
The exposure time was 1/8 second, taken at f/18.
What caught my eye was the side/back light coming in from the
outside that lit up the back of the top petals and then flowed right into
the yellow center of the flower.
Because of the high ISO the picture was already a bit grainy
so I added a grain filter in Photoshop to make the graininess even more
pronounced.

OUR IMAGE OF THE YEAR BANQUE IS COMING UP.
It is Saturday March 19 4pm at Collectors Choice Restaurant 215 Cypress Ave
Snohomish Wa.
Payment and food choice must be made to Shirley Stich on or before next meeting.
The form is below .
Steve has informed me that the images are judged and returned, the ribbons bought , The engraving
of plaques complete.
Bring items for the raffle. We do this every year to help pay for the engraving ribbons ect.
See you all at meeting on March 10 and at the Banquet on March 19.

February 10, 2011

The February meeting of the Pilchuck Camera Club was called to order by President Jim Basinger at 7:15pm. There were
13 members present and 7 guests, Bob Cox, Annie Reichbar, Bryce VanKeuren, Diana Lightle, Stasha Howarth-Clark,
Johnny Harris and Jeffrey Clark.
Correspondence received: No report as Harvey was not able to attend the meeting.
Treasurer’s report: Treasurer Shirley Stitch presented the treasurer’s report. The current balance is $948.88.
Co-Vice President Tom had to drop his position of Co-Vice President due to work and so Janet Wright was voted in as
CoVP. President Jim Basinger presented certificates to the winners of the January regular competition and work shop chal-
lenge.

PSA Representative: Kevin reports that the January journal is available to look at.
Field Trips:
Had a great turn out at the winter workshop that was held at Janet and Norm’s.
Lunar New Year 2011 attended by Steve, Renata, Shirley and Sonya
The weather will dictate field trips over the next several months so watch for announcements.
May- Painted Hills- tentative dates available on the website
