New Year Wishes 2010 A word from our Dean and Director, Judith Bouvard With this first edition of our newsletter in 2010, I would like to wish you all a very Happy New Year! May it bring you and your family both health and happiness, with lots of professional success whatever your field of activity may be. 2009 was another year of progression for GGSB despite the worst economic crisis that the world has recently known. Our student numbers grew overall by about 50 % and we were able to extend our overseas activities into new continents. Our position in the Financial Times European Business School ranking leapt by 11 places from 30 th to 19 th international recognition of the development and rewarding quality of our programs. At the start of this year, we have a very healthy intake of students for all courses there is now a waiting list for our MIB degree. Customised and modular Executive Education programs are flourishing with French and international clients who seek our expertise here in Grenoble and/or at their locations overseas (USA, Saudi Arabia…). Our presence abroad is expanding every year, and 2010 will be no exception. In Saudi Arabia, in addition to our rapidly growing range of activities in Jeddah (both on-site and off-site), we will be offering programs in the capital city Riyadh, and in both centres I have also seen an increasing interest in the Executive Education training that we propose. After a pause in our activities in Malta, we will be resuming our teaching there from next October and recruiting new partners on the island from next month. Other international developments are progressing and I look forward to telling you about these soon. We are continuing to develop our alumni activities and I had the possibility of attending two alumni reunions this year in London and in Paris. It’s always a great pleasure to meet up with former students and to hear about their careers! I am confident that 2010 will mark another milestone in the progress of our School, and future newsletters will continue to share our successes with you. In the meantime, I look forward to welcoming you personally at our Annual Gala and Awards Ceremony which will be held at the Grenoble Graduate School of Business on March 26. It would be great if you could join us on this fraternal occasion. Once again very best wishes for the New Year, Judith Bouvard Dean and Director Grenoble Graduate School of Business
