Diocesan Events. Holy Spirit Catholic Primary School Admissions. If your child was born between

1st September 2013—31st August 2014 you now need to register them for a place in

a Reception class at Primary School. We would love to welcome your child to our

friendly, successful Catholic Primary School which serves both Cleckheaton &

Heckmondwike church communities. The closing date for registration is 15th January

2018. You need to apply on-line at www.kirklees.gov.uk/admissions & you MUST also

complete a Governor’s Supplementary Form (available from school or to download

from our website) this is the only form that asks for details of faith & therefore

enables us to abide by our Admissions’ Criteria. Certificates of Baptism will be needed.

For any further information please contact the school office 01924—400820 or

From the Bishop of Leeds an Appeal to Act in Support of Catholic Education !

Do you support Catholic schools and the right of Catholics to send their children to them ?

Then we need you to make your voice heard. The Government is making a critical decision

on whether to overturn the admissions cap which prevents new Catholic schools from

allowing all Catholic pupils to attend. The Prime Minister has acknowledged that this

policy discriminates against Catholic and had promised previously to abandon it. Now the

Government may decide to keep this discriminatory policy in place instead of removing it.

We need you to tell the Government not to discriminate against Catholics and to remove

the admissions cap on new faith-based schools.

Visit http://catholicnews.org.uk/education-cap or search for ‘Catholic Education’ in your

search engine to write to the Government and urge them to drop their policy which bans

new Catholic schools.
