Guthrie Memorial Library and ForSight Vision are sponsoring a 2nd Low Vision
Expo with several new vendors on Thursday, September 29, from 10 am – 2
pm. Come learn new services and technologies that will enhance the lives of seniors with vision loss. The Library has a
large selection of large print and audio-books and the technologies available
through ForSight can help those with vision loss resume many daily activities. Contact
the library, 632-5183, for more information.

Children’s Book Club Starting in September
Each month brings a new and exciting book to read! Join Miss Kelly the third Friday of each month when
you return to the library for a lively discussion and fun activities centered around the book.
Limited to 20 children. First book is The Sideways Stories from Way-
side School by Louis Sachar. Copies available now!
For Grades 3-6 Friday, September 16 at 4:00 in
the Children’s Program Room.
Justin Walker from the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission will be here to read and
discuss The Fair Housing Five and the Haunted House. This book is geared towards children in
grades 1-5. It’s about a girl named Samaria and her mother's challenge in searching for a new place to live. This program is funded through a Housing and
Urban Development grant and looks to spread awareness about fair housing to children across
Pennsylvania. Wednesday, September 21
