Happy New Year to all our CVA Families! Well, 2020 was definitely an interesting year for everyone and I pray your 2021 is a year filled with peace and God’s blessings. Please take time to read and pray with your child, it’s the best thing you can do together. Build memories this year, but it has to be you, mom or dad, to build them with your child. Pray for your child’s protection and to be blessed daily, because if you’re not praying for them there may be no one praying for them. I look forward to serving you in 2021 in some way that you need.

Classes Resume on Monday, January 4th for all five day program students, and on Tuesday, January 5th for two-three day program students.

Last Day of First Semester

Friday, January 15th. Report cards will be sent home on Friday, January 22nd. Second Semester begins on Monday, January 18th.

Yearbook Pictures The yearbook team needs two pictures of your child. The first is to be a head and shoulders picture in their favorite spot. The second picture is to be a “what we do when were not in school” picture. Please be mindful of the CVA dress code when taking pictures. These pictures are to be texted to Lynn Henry at 407-716-3804.

Graduate Tribute Taping and Photo

January 16, 2021

10 a.m. Location: CVA

All graduates a come in formal* graduation dress for pictures and bring a change of clothes. All senior graduates must record a tribute in order to participate in the graduation ceremony. Senior graduates and parents should prepare ahead of time for recording their tribute by writing it down and reading it over several times. Tributes from parents to their graduate should be no more than 45 seconds total. Tributes from graduates to their parents should also be no more than 45 seconds. The tributes are audio recordings, so parents do not need formal dress. Kindergarten graduates will do a short recording answering some questions, like what they want to be when they grow up, etc.

As parents, one of the greatest things we can do for children is to pray for them, their teachers, and their school! Please join CVA Administrator Paula Williamson on Tuesday, January 26th, to pray for your child's school from 8:45 - 9:00 a.m.

TUITION STATEMENTS: are emailed monthly. Payments are due on the first of every month. Late fees of $25 are applied for any payment received after the 7th. MONTHLY ATTENDANCE FORM: is due by the 1st of every month. Late fees of $25 are applied for reports received after the 7th. Remember, a school day consists of a minimum of 4 to 5 hours of school work completed each day; otherwise the day cannot be counted as a school day. For further details, read the 2019-2020 Handbook. Selective Service: Federal law states males must register with the Selective Service at www.sss.gov within one month of their 18th birthday. Registering keeps you eligible for certain jobs, driver's license renewal, and job training. If you're an immigrant, you cannot be granted citizenship if you don't register.
