Due to the number of student tardies in the morning and coming back from lunch, CHS Administration will be running an attendance discipline emphasis. Any student who arrives late to school, can and will be subject to school discipline. Oversleeping is not an excuse for being late. The standards for attendance at school are no different than attendance standards for employment.

Congratulations to Ellie Camp & Alejandro Sanchez for earning November Kodiak Pride’s “Catch me at my

best!” Award. Each student received a gift certificate and t-shirt from Wok About Grill and a gift card to Dutch Brothers.

November Scholar - Athletes of the Month. Congratulations to Lauren Richardson & Landon

Davies.

Lauren Richardson was named the CTL Most Valuable Player for girls’ soccer this fall. When she is not playing soccer, Lauren is focusing on her studies where she is taking tough courses like AP Advanced Biology and Calculus for college credit through UW. Coach Stefanko said, “Lauren Richardson is an exemplary student/athlete in every way. She shows consistent character in her decisions both on and off the field, while maintaining a hard work ethic and strong leadership qualities. Lauren is dependable as a fantastic example to others and she works with the integrity of a true champion!”

Landon Davies did not wait long to start making his high school career a special one. Landon started off his high school academics with a 4.0 in the first quarter. To go along with this accomplishment he was a top finisher at state (20th place), while setting a new school record for fastest time at the state meet. Coach Massey said, “He was the first freshman finisher at state by a long shot, plus he won the regional junior Olympics race in Yakima earlier this month.” In class and out at practice he is always looking to help others and is a pleasure to have in class and on the team.
