We would like to extend our gratitude to Sacred Wolf Friendship Centre and staff for their support for our language meeting and helping us to find a space where our North Island communities can meet and greet and put our heads together about language renewal. Our group decided that we need to: Building Awareness about the state of our language Promote among adults, youth and community Embracing and honoring dialects Re-Connect our communities through language Build and share resources We’ve decided: Coming in January i m @ SWFC stay tuned and look for us on Facebook Wi a nalax: a se n sok s s) for someone to help you decipher what it says and perhaps reword it should your Elder/s say this differently or speak a different dialect.
